Start my last year of HS tomorrow...

Yep. Senior year. I have less than 12 hours til it starts (and I still need to write a 3 page essay lol)
It's just crazy thinking about it. Any tips for this year?


Also if anyone has an essay about great expectations and wants to help me out and get something in return let me know. I'm starting the essay now...

Don't take it too seriously. Also for the most part the only control they have is perceived control. Don't be an asshat, but don't be scared to do what you want.


Have fun, be social, but don't take it too seriously. It's fucking highschool. Chances are you're lame, your friends are lame, and your school is lame. That's life. Have fun, don't drop out, and then move on with your life.

If highschool is the best time of your life you either had the most ridiculous hs experience ever, or the rest of your life is in shambles.

Not hating just trying to stress not taking it too seriously. Everyones a little bit of an awkward goofy idiot in HS. Don't worry too much about being the coolest thing around because even that person is probably lame.

As far as your friends, enjoy them while they're there. Within a year or two after highschool there;s a good chance you won't be friends with most of them, maybe all of them unless you live in the same town and work to keep up those relationships.

If you have the option to learn a trade in your HS it's something worth looking into and good to have in this economy. People always not trades as being something for stupid people. On one hand I see a ton of things about people with useless degrees that can't find a high paying job in their field of singing to squirrels, and then the people that learned a trad and are probably stupid crushing it in the workforce in a job that's always in demand.

Idk, that's probably my only regret was not knowing about/taking advantage of some of those programs while they're free and easy to do.

Be just responsible enough so that you pass, apply for scholarships and apply to schools (if thats what your about), and get your ass outta there. Don't take it too seriously.

Even if you're not social like I am, try to have a few solid friends. Being social makes the year go by way faster.

Don't make your senior quote something serious. I did and really wish I didn't.

Don't be jaded, your 18 not fucking 27.

I was just thinking I kind of miss that first day of school chaos. Everybody has energy, nobody knows where they're going or has their routine down. It's got a cool vibe to it.


Also realizing I'm less than 2 years away from my 10 year anniversary. Jesus I'm getting old.

On senior ditch day actually ditch class, don't get your parents to call you in, don't email your teacher, don't be half assed about it. But also pick a day that won't get you too behind if you can't swing it on the normal ditch day (usually it's 4/20 in my town). Me and a few of my closest friends all decided to have our own ditch day after the day everyone else was ditching. So we all ditched class, had beer and cake for breakfast, got high for the first time, and then went and got fancy pho for lunch and watched some documentaries. It was great

I am going to seem like an old man but realize you are not an adult yet and that is a great thing. Don"t be shy or have doubt in yourself. You are at a golden time in your life when you have more freedom and almost no real responsibility. Have fun and if you want something do it.

I really hated that book.
It's just senior year though bud. If anything it'll be one of the better years of high school. Just chill out, don't slack off too much, and have a good time with your friends and girlfriend. (:

Senior year man, it was fun.

I played football, we sucked. We had a terribly undersized offensive line and our QB was sacked just an outrageous amount of times. But it was still fun playing ball with all of my friends, most of us it was our last year.

The winter was filled with skiing every single day after school, we had a group of about 20 that would be down there almost every day of the week. It was a blast.

Spring played baseball, with the same 8 other guys I played with since kindergarten t-ball. 9 seniors and it rocked, unfortunately we lost the state championship game 3 - 2.

Other than that, just had fun in class and outside of class, there were plenty of parties and a lot keystone light.

Good times, but college was even more fun.

And now adult life is pretty much righteous right now.

I just graduated this year from highschool, and yeah senior year was definitely the best year of highschool, lotta fun and it really does go by quick. Lotta people you don't see very much after you're out, so enjoy your time with your friends. Had fun but glad I'm done, starting college in a few weeks

High school is inherently a joke compared to college. Though colleges still look at your grades all throughout your years there. Take classes seriously, develop good study habits, take some classes that interest you. But overall, have fun when you're not in school. There are way too many kids that didn't get buck wild in high school but do everyday in college, eventually having to drop out. Don't be one of those people.

Cherish your time in high school, it's fucking awful but you'll appreciate college so much more once you get here. Good luck with your senior year!

I got 11 days until school starts and I too am also a senior. Im pretty much going into it the same as each year, be myself, just hang with my friends, be awkward as usual and dont try to be super cool because I turn into as asshole if I do. Just gonna do my best and try to leave a good mark on the school like my oldest brother did. Also got a fairly simple schedule but need to swap a class or 2. Good luck to anyone else this year, school blows.

kinda miss senior year in hindsight. ski as much as you humanly can and limit your time in that building as much as possible. spent a majority of my time getting a PE credit to go ski or getting stoned with friends, very good times indeed.
