Well, polling numbers, which are still early and have a lot of noise, are seeing an uptick for Clinton even after the Orlando events.
Still better than anecdotal evidence.
Trump has a chance, but he needs to stop shooting himself in the foot every time he gets in front of a camera. It should say a lot there that the majority of the GOP have done very little to stand behind him considering they see Clinton as the equivalent of Lucifer.
If you are being investigated by the FBI you can't buy a gun....why should you be able to run for president? Clinton has decades with of corruption and scandals and illegal activities. It blows my mind people still support her. Trump, yes is far from perfect, but would operate this country MUCH differently. Do we really need another 4 (8?) years of Obama's failed policies? Hell...just look at the healthcare alone....costs have gone up for EVERYONE except those who couldn't afford it in the first place.

You chose likely voters in a 5 day rolling period. Lets remove that first filter, seeing as it limits us to an N of 262, which is substantially smaller than the n of 345 for all responses. That brings us to a ~48 and ~46 for and against.

Trump may have a good chance but I'm predicting record voter turnout this election. People are terrified of a trump presidency and thus i think they'll go to the poles to stop that. And unfortunately for trump supporters he has more people against him than for him. There's also the electoral college who like in 2000 gave bush the presidency even though algore won the popular vote.

Not trying to be an asshole but if you spent half the time you spend monitoring these political threads everyday doing something to actually help politics/our economy, there would probably be a beneficial difference.
But then again you're probably voting for Hillary, and are all talk no action.
The government is trying to control more and more and get their hands on every aspect of life, thinking it will solve all the problems. 1. Being an informed member of the electorate is actually help when it comes to politics. It means I am electing a candidate based off facts, policy ideas, and general platforms versus misinformation and emotion. It allows me to see through the demagoguery that many candidates, especially two elderly ones this past year, spew.
It means I can call you out on the hypocrisy of supporting Trump who has repeatedly shown himself to be anti-1st amendment while you are pro-2nd amendment.
It also means I can also say I don't agree with many of Hillary's policies (Federal Reserve membership, method for paid family leave, Alzheimer's cure by 2025 is laughable) and that I will not be voting for her because of them but instead focusing on down-ballot candidates where I know my vote matters and has an impact.
But short of being a politician or lobbyist, my ability to impact the political arena is limited.
2. I contribute to our economy through two main ways. Firstly, I pay taxes on everything I purchase (thank you Massachusetts) and secondly I work for a company that provides funding (Series A, B or Up Listing rounds) to early stage companies, or deals with structured transactions for illiquid or poorly managed companies. Therefore, indirectly, I help companies retain their employees and see that these employees are paid.
Beyond that, as a 23 year old who is ~1 year out of college, my impact again is limited. But I can tell you I am not taking on any sort of governmental loan which should make someone like you giddy.

I think it is more of a deterrent then an actual solution.
Building the wall will not stop people illegally making it across the border or attempting to cross the border but if you have a giant wall to get over it's definitely is going to be off-putting especially if you're old, fat, or disabled. So by building the wall there is a potential to reduce the number of people coming into the country.

As for the Anti 1st amendment and pro 2nd amendment, lets use some fucking common sense here. The First Amendment was written by the Founders to protect exercise of Chistianity, with no special interest in Islam. Jefferson actually bought a copy of the Koran to later find out Islam requires muslims to rob, kill, and pillaged christians wherever they find them. Do you think our government should really be protecting them? For all thats going on right now? We’ve got a problem and until someone has a better idea, temporarily going against an amendment is fine by me if it needs to be done (key word). I actually support Trump wanting to temporarily ban muslims from entering the U.S. until we can find a way to put an end to the mass murders.
Now going against the 2nd amendment to bear arms for no particular reason seems a bit absurd doesn’t it? Its going against our right to purchase a firearm in the United States that will be used to protect and keep our country safe along with the people in it. Democrats thinking strict gun control will solve our killing problem is ridiculous. Do you think those terrorist and murderers give a fuck about our laws to buy a gun? Those guys know some seriously bad people, and will easily be able to get a gun (or weapon of mass destruction) regardless of our laws. In fact, they may like gun laws because it will just mean less people to fight them back.

You completely just contradicted yourself mid paragraph by saying we have an immigration problem (your next few sentences) yet a wall and Donald Trump’s policies won’t help this situation. Yes, a wall is a lot harder to get around than no wall. Lets say theres a cookie 10 ft in front of you. Will it be easier to grab the cookie with a wall in front of you or a wall not in front of you?
Okay great, we share a common ground. Yes, we have a serious problem with people infiltrating us and coming across our borders. You said it, not me. But I completely agree.That is one reason why I fully support Trump over Hillary. (Lets face it, one of them will be our next president, so you might as well pick your side, they both have issues).
WE obviously have a huge immigration problem and it is hurting our economy, overcrowding cities, holding down salaries, keeps unemployment high, and makes it difficult for poor and working class AMERICANS to earn middle class wages. Its also bringing in drugs like you said, terrorists, and a bunch of freeloaders using our system because it works for them. In short the immigration system is being used to attack the United States of America. We should probably work on fixing that right? We need to unify as a country and fix ourselves before we worry about offending others. I think Trump has some logical plans for this.
While we admit another 2 million new immigrants each year, the number of ICE Officers remains the same. And we have an all time historic record population of immigrants of 42 million. We need to control that a little bit better to help America. Only about 5,000 officers work for ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) to enforce the laws against 11 million illegal immigrants already in our country. Los Angeles Police Department has 10,000 officers to show a comparison. Trump wants to triple the number of ICE officers who will enforce laws that encompass border control, customs, trade and immigration. ICE is part of the United States effort to protect national security and public safety and prevent terrorism. Sounds pretty important yah? I think tripling the number will be for the better.
There will be no more “Catch and Release” of illegal immigrants. The Obama Administration has released 76,000 illegals that have criminal convictions since 2013. With Trump, when they are detained, they will be sent back home.
He will also put an end to birthright citizenship, meaning illegals can’t come over and have 5 kids and grant them United States Citizenship. This is the biggest magnet for Illegal Immigration if you weren’t aware. Harry Reid weighed in on this subject: “No Sane country would give automatic citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants.” It only makes since, and voters have agreed by a 2:1 margin.
Trump will also be a lot more strict on Visas and making it a priority to hire Americans first. When I applied to work at Whistler, I received an email saying they have to make sure no Canadian can fill that spot before I would even be considered for the job. I thought that was totally acceptable and was not offended at all. Thats their country and they deserve that right. Its just tough shit, it’s the way it has to be.
There are tons of people who come in with temporary Visas and end up staying after they are expired with little to no consequence. This will change. Under Trump, if they don’t leave when their Visa expires they will be subject to criminal penalties. The president of the immigration caseworkers union said we’ve become the visa clearing house for the world…sounds like a bit of a problem to me. This country will only get worse, we cannot effectively and efficiently provide for everyone on earth.

Where are we to get US news? If someone or some outlet disagree's with a candidate, it does not mean they are wrong, even if there is bias. It is why one should read multiple outlets, Fox and MSNBC included. When someone proclaims that a negative article implies bias, it shows they lack the critical reasoning and ability to extract the "non-biased" information.
In regards to polls, the MSM sites responsible for reporting numbers in the form of polls and surveys usually disclose their methods, including the N and n's, who ran the polls, how they were run, etc. Normally it is easy to validate the "bias" that way. 9/10 times they hire an outside company to run these things, and then report the information themselves.

The problem is we have a high percentage of our population growing up without fathers (due to excessive work, violent death, jail, or just being a shit person). With the demise of Christianity and the family, we have lost our processes of teaching values to the next generation.
Then you have the rise of Islam over the past 20 years. This is an ideology that does an excellent job of teaching folks a fucked up set of values. 68% of Muslims think Sharia Law should be obeyed. Almost 86% think women should be subservient to their husbands. Yeah it's a fucking problem for liberal democracy, despite what progressive fucktwats want to think.

If what you say is true, why are people fighting to keep gun laws that were meant for a culture that is decades in the past instead of fighting for gun laws that work for the culture of today?

Obviously there are abusers of the system, but there is also LIMITED REGULATION of who can be on welfare. Hmm, pretty interesting to me. Maybe if the government was more involved in checking the statuses of people on welfare there would be less abuses. Just a thought...BTW, aren't conservatives generally more religious? What happened to "help thy neighbor"?...Many Americans use welfare properly to get back on their feet. Shame on them right? It's like Muslim-shaming.
