"rodeo 3" (which is pretty much just a stupid name for a lincoln) is upvoted and lincoln loop is downvoted? what the hell?

The technical term for this is wackflip. aka an off-axis backflip.

set as a rodeo 3, comes out a bit like a flat 3. but srsly wgaf, it's just some weird tweaked backflip, if you like the way it looks then keep it that way, if you don't, work on it.

At first glance it definetly looked like a flat 3 but looking over it the way he throws his body looks more like a Lincoln but kinda tweaked out

He throws it like I lincoln but the jump is steep so it sets him back and he does something but I do not know what that something is.

Not a flat 3.

Flat spin. A spin, not a flip. You're spinning around the short axis of your body (through from your belly to your back). You don't go inverted.

Notice he never goes inverted at any time.


The trick in the video is what's called a wackflip, granted a bit closer to a flat 3 than a backflip. But still wackflip.

Clearly NOT a flat 3, you'd have to be much more off axis for it to be flat.

I would call it a Lincoln that he came out of weird. Threw it as a lincoln, came out of it more like a wack flip. The weird part is because at one point, your skis are almost sideways where a lincoln they are always pointed straight forward.

I agree with the wackflip. The way you threw it, it looked like you were taking it to a rodeo. The way yo dipped your right shoulder and opened your chest up didn't quite open your chest up to the sky like you typically see on a flat 3. I think if you could have continued your rotation, you may be able to call it a rodeo?

with a lincoln its more of a side flip where the skis are straight over the head, here he is off axis a little which makes it seem more like a flat 3, but it certainly is set differntly. It seems like he almost combined both tricks in a way. in my opinion id call it a flat 3.

it's definitely a lincoln, it looks exactly like how steve stepp throws his and how I've seen my friends do them. lincolns always look a little whack. I don't know where people are getting a flatspin or whackflip out of this because he goes 100% inverted and flips sideways, not backwards like you would in a back/whackflip.

for anyone saying it's a "rodeo 3," have you seen vinny's ACTUAL rodeo 3? he basically stops his rotation mid flip and brings it down, kinda like henrik's "flat 180." it's absolutely nothing like this (which is a lincoln loop.)

with this logic wouldnt you just have to do a lincoln loop 180 to do a rodeo? I thought rodeo was a different rotation

a rodeo 5 is pretty much a lincoln with a 180. that's sort of not quite accurate and a little over simplified in the same way describing a misty 7 as a frontflip 360 would be, but yeah..

Feet got way above his head. A flat 3 is for like a hip, quarter pipe or jump with tons of lip.
