Ski films shot in-bounds?

Watched almost ablaze today in school, yeah it was awesome haha. Anyway I noticed a lot of in-resort filming-or least locations of resorts.

Do ski movies usually film inbounds? If almost ablaze didn't specify where they were skiing I would assume it was backcountry somewhere. So how man movies usually film inbounds? Is it becoming a new thing? Or do companies just not specify location?

well level 1 usually has a big park shoot every year, so I guess technically that is "in-bounds" but it's not open to the public.

I feel like if you're looking for inbound footage, you should just watch edits (for the most part) because most films, like you said in the OP, are not filmed in bounds

They can't get the same quality of shots in bounds as the can in the backcountry. Older movies were filmed in bounds, but as things progressed, they stopped doing that. Everything has to be as unbelievable as possible, and a big part of that is filming things that not just anyone can access.

Depends on the area. Some places has some pretty gnarly stuff in bounds that's solid for filming. Other places it's OB or bust.

The naked scene from Valhalla is all filmed inbounds (from what I can recognize from the zones) at Whitewater, BC. There is a lot of gnarly stuff in bounds at that place though so it looks like BC zones sometimes.
