a snowboarder cut off my friend once, so my friend cut him off back, the snowboarder waited at the bottom of the hill for my friend and next thing i know my friend blasts him full speed. and i mean completely drilled this dude... so meanwhile I'm at the top of this jump and i see the snowboarder get out of his board and start hammering my friend in the face.. moral of the story my friend got his ass beat by a boarder ;'(

No. But I saw a vid of a snowboard punching some guy for no reason (people were standing around watching) - in fact the snowboarder was in the wrong. The correct thing would be to grab his board and ski off. After that, I'm not sure.

The boarder has an advantage once they get their board off because of the soft boots. The skier in the meantime can stab with the pole. (I don't advise that unless you're under serious threat)

Generally I never cut people off because I'm going so much faster than everyone so it's like a bike rider cutting off a pedestrian.. it doesn't really happen.

People get attacked all the time in surfing, though.

Once I was riding my board and some slow little shit was in my way so I cut him off. Then he cut me off right back. I waited at the bottom for him so I could politely apologize for assuming he was just slow and instead the motherfucker just drills me. So I found him in the park and beat the piss out of him.

building the lip on a crappy table in the park.. have it closed with skis across it and some jag off runs over our shit, and hits the thing mid build, skis down and gets on the rope tow. my buddy clicks in and goes skating as fast as he can to the rope tow, grabs it, and pulls him self up the rope till he gets to the kid, then grabbed him by the neck and threw him off the rope tow. one of the most glorious things i have ever seen.

i was involved in an accident which wasn't my fault, and the dad of the girl i collided with came over and threw my poles at my face and cursed me out. dmm lucky i didn't press charges for assault.

My friends and I like to mess around with gapers. Once there was this kid with two girls I'm guessing he was about 13 or 14. He was acting all cool because you know that's what girls do to 13 and 14 year old boys. They make them dicks my friend was friends with the gapers and told me he was a major dick. I went flying down the hill sprayed all three of them popped the gaper out of his skis and pushed him over. My friend said they were really right so I did it as a joke he stood up and was pissed and came at me trying to stop me with his poles. The ski patrol rode by and stopped and held that gaper back he said he was taking us to the lodge and was gonna confiscate our passes because the gaper told him some bs story. They started going to the lodge and I fled to the woods and flipped them off. I found out he confiscated the gapers pass for a week. And turns out the girls were 16 and I got a BJ on the lift and peed in her butt. :)

When I worked with danetron at west some gaper tried to strangle him. Had to break up a 7 or 8 person brawl at the same park where a guy ended up with a broken nose and the cops got called. I don't think I've ever fought somebody on the hill but nobody's swung at me and I'm a pretty mellow guy.

Im not saying that the dad wasn't being an asshole, he was. However, If you press charges for assault because of something like that you are not only a larger asshole, but an equally large pussy.

I think fighting is dumb as fuck, especially because of the amounts of fights my boys got into in highschool. Sort of made me realize how pointless that shit is 90% of the time. Now when skiing, that goes up to about 99% of the time. However, if that rare 1% situation presents itself, I think the best idea is to let the guy know you'll meet him in the parking lot at the end of the day, and if he's still bout it then he's bout it. That way you get to have a good day of skiing, plus don't have to worry about kickin some ass until the end of the day.

I was skiing in the park with my friend and one of them tried to do a rail or something and ate shit. We started laughing at him right when some drunk ate shit on another rail right next to us. The dumb fuck thought we were laughing and him and so he took off his skis and started marching up the hill towards us with his poles acting like some big tough macho man that could take a group of 8 people. We ended up just skiing past the jack ass and taking his skis that he left to march up to us. We got to the bottom of the hill and pointed him out to patrol. They took his pass because he was to drunk to even tell the patrol what happened. Still have the guy's skis to this day.

Not really a fight but... some little kids and their mom, who obviously shouldn't have been anywhere near the park, skied in the landing of a rail i was in the process of hitting. So mid rail i yelled, "get out of the park". Once i skied down their mom came at me saying im not cool and they are allowed in the park, so i told her it was dangerous for her and her kids to be skiing near the rails and jumps etc. Once i flashed my glock a couple times she skied away.

Never been in a fight on hill, but a few close calls. I got taken out by a gaper from behind while teaching a intermediate skier. Somehow after he hit me, we slid to a stop and I was on top of him before I even knew it. I had him pinned to the ground and was about to unload on him. In a moment of sanity I realized I was in uniform and would have been fired for sure.

A friend of mine who is also a ski instructor got into it with a guy at the bottom of the Lionshead Gondola while he was in uni. I wasn't there but apparently they got into an epic fencing duel with their ski poles in front of hundreds of people. Needless to say PJ nolonger works for Vail Resorts, but this event is legendary. He is my hero.
