I'd be curious to see how the answer to this question changes over the years.
iTunes? DVDs? Torrents?
Be honest.

Mr.BishopI as well have been buying through iTunes lately for all the reasons mentioned... its on all my devices, have apple TV, etc.
The one thing about this that drives me bananas though is that I really technically don't own it. I'm simply licencing it from Apple... If I wanted to switch to an android phone, chromecast and a chromebook I'd lose my entire library instantly.
That means (if you ask me) I don't own this shit, I just paid a ridiculously high rental cost.
Jeroen13That's not entirely true!
When you buy something in itunes, itunes will save it on your hard drive. So when you go to android you can just copy all the files from the folder itunes saved it in!

EastShoreDriveThose .m4v files you get from iTunes are protected with DRM. You can find and move the files but you can't do anything with them. If you moved them directly from your computer to an Android device they won't play. You've got to get something like NoteBurner to remove the DRM and covert it to a usable .mp4 format. I HATE how Apple does this with all of the files you get from iTunes.

brotoI usually just buy the Stept DVDs each year and that's it. The occasional iTunes video here and there.
Can anybody answer me why film companies don't offer downloads on their website independent to iTunes? Why is it so hard for companies to offer digital downloads on their own websites? What is the need for the middle man? I would rather do that and see the companies keep a larger portion of my money. Cheaper for everyone involved besides Apple, but they'll survive.
