BeefSistaWhen I'm skiing in the park whether with friends or not, theres this one guy I see a lot who's like in college with his friends at the park and thinks he's the shit at the hill. He always acts like a total dickbag calling you out if you mess up on a trick and try's to act thug. One time I was yelling to my friends at the bottom in excitement after landing my first back 4 out of a rail and the guy starts mocking me and laughing with his friends. No one needs those people at the hill and there's no need for that when your trying to enjoy a weekend from school.
sammymacyeah i have a kid like that at my local mountain...
ginYou guys wanna know why I'm here???
OwenReynoldsIdk about you guys, but in my experience park riders are a pretty laid back group of people. Most of the time if I'm riding at a new mountain all I have to do is say something nice and then they say something nice in return and then bam, you're riding together. Sure, there are some assholes. However, for the most part we're all there for the same thing. If you have a problem with everyone on the mountain then it might be your attitude that's off, not theirs.
aGANSMove to Tahoe and hire Noah Curry as a body guard. No one will ever be an asshole to you again, I promise.
ordinaryprodi dont have a problem with the whole scene of park skiers at all, but like you said, were all there to do basically the same thing. We should at least be chill to eachother and not dis younger kids trying to excel or people that are just not as good as us. If were gonna dis anyone it should be the racers wearing saga over their speed suits.
busterburnsI spent an entire day during college weekend at Whistler this year skiing with a very random, very talented 15 year old kid who had grown up skiing indoors until just recently. He had just been moved out to Whis from england where he grew up and had tons of interesting shit to say about it all
While all my friends were hungover and sleeping I played skate with someone I will probably never see again,
turned out to be way more fun than keeping to myself

ThaLoraxand always make sure to have a doob to share.
Sh4dow>expecting random people who don't know you to let you ski with them
>thinking they are jerks if they don't want to ski with a random gaper kid
Can't tell if trolling. -k
Stacks_I think park skiers are just judgmental people cus they all want to be the best
smellsyeah the whole point of GNAR was to make fun of these people
eddy9pretend to be someone you're not,
kool.aid.guyPeople in places well known for skiing tend to be more competitive/less accepting of worse skiers.
ChubbyBoyoooh who are you talking about, I think I know who you're talking about, but it's more of snowboarders I see doing this.
sammymacthat kid who rides volkl skis and wears a white helmet, I haven't done anything wrong by him but he seems to think its okay to bag people out due to their outerwear style. he is a bit of a dick.
skodeo7A lot of the time it stems from their own insecurities as a skier and person, just trying to be too cool. A lot of it has to do with age too. Generally, the 13-18 demographic is more likely to be dick-ish then 18+. I experienced it a lot when I was growing up too, some people are just assholes or bullies. Try to brush it off and meet some other people. So many kids are just trying to be the best and think they are the shit, in reality, they aren't and probably suck at life and skiing.
It's not just skiers, but people in general. Think about the people at your school, I'm guessing some are cool and some are pricks.
