Hitting rails in touring binding?

I've got a pair of barons on my 4FRNT EHP's, could I hit a few rails on them every once in a while without doing much damage?

We'll the bindings would be fine but you would damage the skis obviously.

I asked the guy in the shop and he said don't hit rails in these bindings

Well I would not use them on a park ski which I was using soley in the park but they will be fine every now and again. You will have much bigger impacts freeriding then you will on rails unless you really mess something up.

I don't really know why you would do that to your edges on a touring/powder ski, but they should be fine. They will feel weird, but they will be fine.

Going to thread jack sorry OP....

Going NZ this summer, can only take one pair but planning on shredding a lot of park but also all round. and doing big mountain comps. Got a set of 108 underrfoot skis to take with me, just wondering whether dukes(EPF) would be fine in ze park or am I better to stick STH16s and use trekkers?

I have both bindings, just no experience landing switch in the park on dukes.

Go with the Sth. The stack height would be the annoying factor. And you won't be hiking to far ever so Trekkers will be fine.

i would go with with the sth and treckers. if you think about it when you hit a rail, the ski flexes underfoot, but with barons on, it wont let the ski flex at all, then it makes all the impact and force go directley into the binging. ive been in the same situation as you. plus the barons are kind of heavy which makes it even harder in the park. bottom line, get normal bindings and treckers
