Best skis ~100 mm waste for all mountain?

Looking to get some new planks...looking at 100mm in the waste with some slight rocker nothing crazy. Mostly used for vermont conditions and a couple times out west a season.Already have a pair of park skis and carving skis. Have been out of the loop for so long in terms of gear. Currently riding surface watchlifes and LOVE them. But am open for any suggestions. Also looking to spend maybe tops 650ish on a pair. Obviously the lower the better though

I'm getting a couple of all mnt skis this season. For more soft snow conditions I'm going on3p Jeffery 114 but they will be a bit big and too rocketed for you I would guess. My harder snow all mnt ski is going to be the Solomon Qlab. Those skis absoluty rip. They rail a turn like a race ski but the nose rocker an early ride tail still make them stable an pivoty in fresh snow. Certainly not a ski for just messing about on but if you like to really ski hard and fast they are well wort a look.

Soul rider is more in line with what im looking at. Looking at a few surface models but they seem now to be either pretty fat or to skinny. Would prefer a twin tip or partial twin if possible. Just trying to get some options as i have been out o fthe loop for a while now

well how stiff do you want? Do you still want them to carve hard or are you after more of a wide park ski like a jmo or al dente?

If your after more of a wide park ski I would look at al dente, jmo, cartel 96,blog or director. If your after a more traditional all mountain twin I would look at arv ti, deceptively, automatic 102, rocker 100, sick day 95, shreditor 102. other really good all mnt skis with less tail bushwacker, Qlab abd wailer 95. Have a look through those skis and see if any are the type your after.

But it the best advice anyone here can give is demo. Try as many skis as you can. Only really you know what you want so try as many as you can an buy your favourite.

Cant wait for the Q Lab. The idea of putting full on race construction on a 105 waisted directional big mtn ski is fucking genius. Stable as heck, just a complete inbounds driver. The Armada Invictus and 14/15 K2 Annex 108 seem to be following along this path as well. Awesome new era of skis.

Yeah I totally agree. And im super excited for the QlabBC too. There are some new bindings on the way too which are going to pair up with those skis really well. Exciting times.

Yeah those are sick as hell. Are they as light as they say they are? I saw somewhere that each ski was 1700g, which seems almost impossible for a 115mm ski.

Yeah man they are that light it's the core they are using and the monoquoce (sp?) construction. Stick a tech binding on them and they will be a sick backcountry ski. Light but actually still wide enough and stiff enough to really shred.

That depends on how much OP weighs. At my 220lbs weigh I could flex the 102 shreditors over like a burrito. I'm kinda pissed off at k2 cause I like the shape of the 102 just not the flex.

I ski the k2 kung fujas, and they hold everything in the park and carve really well, but float excelent in pow

i highly reccommend 4frnt CRJ or devastators. ive heard nothing but good things about the devestator and i ride the crj myself. crj might be a tad too wide as it is 118 at waist. any questions about the crjs just pm me. good luck!

I'm going to put in a word for the 108 Jeffrey's, pick them up for cheap on the summer sale. They are stiff/mid-stiff, have good rocker, and a blast to ski. They ski groomers well. I can verify this, as I usually ski a slalom ski on groomers.

Pick 'em up, go ON3P!

I agree. best skis I've ever been on. I demoed a bunch of other skis around 100 mm under foot including the volkl mantras and soul 7s and these were leagues ahead of all of them in all aspects. they make skiing so much fun. they can do everything really well at 105 at the waist except maybe icy moguls. they have the perfect flex being soft and springy enough to be poppy and agile but stiff enough to not have a speed limit. they are super responsive edge to edge and carve better than my old line prophet 90s which is saying something. They are also AMAZING in soft snow or spring corn conditions. I rode them at sugurloaf in maine all season and they killed it everywhere so I am sure they would be perfect for vermont. also they are beautiful to look at. sorry for the essay but these are my spirit skis and I fucking love them so you should buy them
