WattsDon't think Arsenal fans should be getting that upset at him for going to Chelsea after asking Arsenal first if they wanted him back and they said no. What, he's supposed to stay unhappy at Barca year after year because Arsenal says they don't want to pay for him to come back? Besides, think how it must feel to be Cesc and ask Arsenal, a club he clearly loves, if they want him back, only for them to say "Meh, we'll pass." Has to sting for him as well to get rejected by Arsenal like that.
This. Wenger blowing it again in a transfer window. I have the upmost respect for what he did at the beginning of his time at Arsenal, and even in keeping the team in the top 4 while a new stadium was built. But allowing chelsea to pick up Fabregas and letting Sagna go to city for free shows how naive he has become. Part of the football transfer market these days is not letting your rivals strengthen.
Surely his reasoning for the Fabregas thing is that we have strength in depth in midfield but the fact is, those players aren't as good as Fabregas. Ozil on his day is, Wilshire can be but has serious injury problems. Arteta is aging, as is Rosicky. It just makes no sense that for £25 or so million (a profit of £10m or so) you wouldn't bring a legend and a world class player back to the club.
He could prove me wrong and bring in world class talent in more vital positions but I won't be holding my breath.
