Thoughts before hitting a jump?

When you're going down the in run and are about to come off the lip, are you the kind of person who thinks, "I hope I don't crash" or are you a person who thinks, "I'm gonna stomp the sh*t out of this." Thoughts on your thoughts?

I don't recommend thinking about the jump itself too much, if you're not comfortable going strait over a medium or larger jump practice small and get a feel for how jumps work. Get a playlist of music that makes you stoked or happy either one will help your confidence. Watch a few people hit it and use their speed to help judge yours, if you are with friends follow their speed. If the jump is built perfect you shouldn't need a speed check

I usually just say "fuck here I go." Next thing i know ive landed or ate shit. I never really know what happens in the air. Dont have the greatest air awareness so unless I'm skiing with someone else, I have no idea what happened.
