I know allot of kids that SUCK and freaking send letters into big ass brands asking to get sponsored, what do you think would be the skill level required to get a shop sponsor????

from what ive heard, skill does help when it comes to sponsorships, buts its really an opportunity to help grow the brand and get people stoked on the companies gear. and if theyre stoked on youre skiing, i guess thats rad too.

Whoever those kids are, they need to realize that you should support your local shops and do stuff for them to get up. Most freeride shops owner's know people and can help you out. Unless you're crazy good, most companies are gunna think you're a goon.

honestly if you are confident in your skiing and think you should be sponsored, send your edit into your local shops/ small companies... it dosent hurt to at least try

Sponsorship is not an honor. Its a job...the best job out there!

I have approached reps and resort managers to set up shoots and work with them for free to promote a brand. Every time its the same damn thing: they want to sell you something. No matter how much your stoked, they will give you a cold shoulder the day after the meeting. Showing them video will get them stoked, but as long as you sign a check for them; reps dont care.

In my history, a few things did work in starting your career as a ski bum. Friends dad's who own businesses will help you out. If you are to start anywhere, your local convenience store may be an answer...but get ready to whore yourself!
On the skiing ability side; you have to be ready to ski everyday for 4-5 months. I am on my 60th in bounds day and 21st tour this year. I ski nothing but hard-to-access, hard-to-visualise runs. Still its not enough. You have to have more than 20 full edits of you that people actually watch. This...may not be enough.

A sure thing is to win both FIS slopestyle and the Xgames in the same season. then you will be able.

The fundamental trait of a pyramid scheme is selling a spot in the pyramid, not selling products. Verve is a legitimate product and a damn good one. How can you call it a pyramid scheme?

Well is your business model trying to sign up reps to sell the product, thus getting a compensation based on their sales? Or are you actively seeking retail placement in store shelves? Can't say that I have ever seen your product in a store. Any way or I can just Google it and my answer is provided

In a pyramid scheme you buy in at different levels and only the people at the top make money. If Vemma is a pyramid scheme so is every corporation. The people who start the business are at the top, and other people fall into the lower levels, however like Vemma you have the opportunity to work your way up the ladder which you can't do in a pyramid scheme.

People like you have nothing better to do than sit on the side lines making fun of the people putting in the work and doing something productive. This opportunity can take me any where I want in the future while you'll be a slave to the man at some fast food job.

Definitely a pyramid scheme man… the person above you is always making money. Don't fall for it! I will gladly admit that I did fall for this last year and got burned, along with all of the kids "above me." Not trying to be an ass…just saving others asses.

If you'd like to start an actual career in sales, develop genuine connections, and have a reputable resume... I suggest walking down to your local line of car dealerships, present yourself professionally, and convince a few sales managers you can get people to spend more money than they can afford. That's how I started. I'm 20 years old and have had no issue making money in a legitimate sales career. I sit on my ass, browse around on here, and sell cars all day. Love my job.

You have to be an INFLUENCER in your specific region. At that level, you dont need to be the best at skiing, you just need to be a personable dude/gal that everyone respects/knows of.
