Yea just wondering where they had been until last years thread. I'm happy the royals are winning but I make it clear to ppl here I'm not a true fan. It's silly but it seems disrespectful (and dishonest) to the actual fans who watched every game when the team struggled. It feels like those types fans didn't exist for the Seahawks in large numbers so the new fair weather cheerleader fans don't have any reason to be modest. They just see themselves as part of the fan base and assume that the charahteristics of each fan base in each city are the same, makes them all think they're real fans when really none of them are. Also, in case it wasn't totally obvious-- most bandwagon fans don't care enough about the sport to be discussing it in online forums. So if you're looking for a place to unleash on bandwagon Hawks fans, this probably isn't the place to do it, even though you try on every page.

There's nothing to agree or disagree about. Some fans are true fans, some are bandwagon fans. Yes, the latter probably outnumbers the former. Period.
But insisting that there are zero true seahawks fans, and bashing someone every time they post in here about the Seahawks is just silly.
Way to avoid my comment, though. Again, I have newschoolers seahawks posts that predate your membership by years--which makes your comment about zero seahawks fans until last years' thread false. It also makes your claim that there were no fans until last year false.
Responding to you is pointless, though. I don't know why I do. You make claims. I present facts that prove your claims false, and you ignore them...and the cycle repeats.
This isn't my first account, in 2006 it was all patriots and giants fans, then a couple years of a little denver and a lot of greenbay, now it's more denver and a lot of Seahawks. Pretty obvious trend even with the small sample size. I really hope you go check those threads and see for yourself.
I mean you guys can't admit that your crowd noise is mainly due to the stadium even after everyone involved with construction said that amplifying crowd noise was a priority. You automatically disqualify yourself from any reasonable discussion about yourselves
As someone who hates the seahawks with every ounce of energy I have, gotta agree with you on this one snobunny. The seahawks are good and usually when that happens it attracts fans. Seahawks fans aren't obnoxious Miami Heat fans and they didn't just show up out of nowhere. They been in these threads for a while and even during the 'Skins vs. Seahawks playoff game there was good discussion.

i hate to drag this on some more but its just annoying as hell for everyone in the thread to have to sift through your hatred for everything that has to do with seattle. its more than just simple banter between fanbases, its pure hatred and obsession and its really strange.

You stated above that Seahawks fans being bandwagoners is unfair to fans of other teams who have stuck it out during rough times with their teams.
Well then you can see how someone who has been a seahawks fan for a long time would think it is also unfair for you to claim that they aren't a real football fan, when they watched the Seahawks suck for years. You place yourself on some sort of sports fan pedestal based on nothing.
