will_powderSee I don't understand these bluegrassy folky country sorta shindigs that toss in big name electronic artists like bassnectar or grammatik. Like what sort of vibe are they going for. Looks absolutely awful in my opinion, but hey, to each his own I guess.

louie.miragsI was gonna explain to you how off your post is, but not worth it.. long story short festivals like to have different vibes sometimes different days. Those headliners are jam bands not bluegrass folk. Plus the electronic bands will play late at night for the party crowd. That lineup is stacked!!!!

zzzskizzzEDC anyone just got this sweet tank for it
riddsicleso jelly. atleast i'll be hitting vibes and hopefully peach to catch allman before they stop touring for good. woooo
connecticuntif you want to go to peach just for the allman brothers, my personal opinion would be (depending on where you are geographically) mountain jam might be more worth it. I think mountain jams line up is much more stacked. but I'll for sure see you at vibes, I can't wait for july
ZimmermanZimmerman's Summer Tour
5/29-30: DMB @ SPAC
6/11: DMB @ Darien
7/3-5: Phish @ SPAC
7/11-13: Hudson Project
7/15: Phish @ Canandaigua
8/8: Umphrey's @ LCM fest
Anyone else hitting Hudson Project? Phish?
louie.miragsYeah me and -benedetto will be at the Hudson Project along with Mysteryland and moe.down.
Chubz. For the Hudson project what would you say would be the best day to go for electronic/trap music? Is there any way to tell? First festival and we're only goin for the day so were basically clueless about this shit. I just wanna turn up on some crazy edm type shows
Randy_QuenchI just thought I'd chime in after all this negative talk about bonnaroo and say that I went last year and had the time of my life. I didn't have a similar experience to theabortionator at all..
Yes, I do agree that security is tight. That is probably the largest drawback I found during my trip to the farm. However, once I was inside past the car checkpoint I had NO run-ins whatsoever with security (never saw any cops walking through campsites or anything like that. but heard that undercovers were out and about.) If you have half a brain you can avoid problems with cops and security.
As for vibes from strangers: I can't really comment because I don't know what it was like in past years. However, in my experience I found that the majority of people were friendly, in the moment, and having a good time. Of course there were a few rotten apples in the bunch, but there are 100,000+ people there.. not everyone is gonna be your BFF.

-benedettoToo early to tell for sure but it'll probably be Friday or Saturday night
Chubz.Thank you
elindeHudson Project lineup is looking prime.
theabortionatorHaven't posted a good rant in a while. Feels good. Also TLDR
Randy_Quenchshit man, I didnt mean to rub you the wrong way haha. I just thought I'd throw in my 2cents. I wasn't doubting/criticizing anything you said, and your tips were spot on. But had I not been to the farm before and read this thread I would have been completely turned against going to roo, so I figured I'd share my positive experience to lighten its reputation.
You really must have been traumatized if you're that adamant about bonnaroo being shit. haha
and yeah, it was my first festival of that size. and no, I try to avoid bathsalts, RCs, NBOMe's and all them nastys. but I don't criticize you for generalizing haha.
rudagerGotta love a festival where I can go home and sleep in my bed after
I'm more than excited for Jack White and the Arctic Monkeys, plus I can see some bands I missed at Coachella (or just see them again)
CompassEh, not too stoked on this years line up. I'll give it that it's better then the previous year however. I plan to pick up a wristband for Coachella once they release in the next month or two!
rudagerI'll be picking one of those up again for sure, it'll be one of those priority things.
Getting deep in the music fests
connecticunthas volunteered clean vibes before? I've never volunteered for post show clean up (usually pre-show set up) and wondering if it is worth it or if its just too much work post fest when I'm going to be ridiculously burnt out

Jane6On Thursday I head to Belgium for Groezrock! So stoked to see the Wonder Years, Saves the Day, Touche Amore, New Found Glory, Brand New, More Than Life, the Hives, Menzingers...... Gonna be sick!
Matt_DStoked for Saturday

cheaaaaaaidk about this web site from experience, but figured you might like it as a redeemer..
http://www.rageon.com/collections/lets-rage
-benedettoPersonally, I would never wear any of that stuff. And I feel the opinion of people who have been to a bunch of fest feel festival clothing and brands putting out festival lines is the beginning of the end for festivals and makes it too mainstream. I'm all for people discovering festies since I was a noob last year but 50 dollars for a t-shirt? Get real..
meant all this in a nice way

Matt_DI would wear most of that stuff really...I would never buy it. I mean honestly how do they really think t-shirts are worth $50? Who the hell spends that much on clothes?
-benedettoRode our bikes around bethel today and past by bethel woods where mysteryland is going down in 2 and a half weeks. Figured I'd share some before the fest pictures
connecticuntare you going? I was going to try to make it to that too until I saw its 21+. Not quite there yet
