What do you guys classify as "ski socks"? The socks I wear get imprinted into my legs because of the ribs on the socks and the tightness of my boot.

Try a decent tech sock like a smart wool or thorlos. Good socks make a huge difference. They can also keep you so much warmer as they don't use materials like cotton which regular sports socks use.
