United Airlines decided to surprise me today with a $100 fee to check my skis as oversized luggage. Unless you want pay this bullshit fee (I've taken my skis on multiple other airlines and never had a problem), don't fly United. Also, don't let their website trick you. It doesn't say anything about it.
