It seems like they don't usually get their jumps in their main park up until around Christmas or New Years, will that possibly change this year with the amount of snow we now have up here and the cold snow making conditions? Any of you Spirit kids have some inside info on this subject?
The plan is to have the park open with at least one medium sized jump and lots of rails by this weekend. Right now there is a full run groomed top to bottom in the park, the plan however is to blow as much snow as possibly before this weekend and have some rails up on pads and at least one jump. Full park with 3 big jumps, 3 medium jumps and a bunch of rails should be open for Christmas break. As for right now the park is at the top of the express chair, there are 10 rails up.
Park opens today. The 3 big jumps are open and are looking great. Five rails are set up that look really fun and there are still 10 rails at the top of the express.
Here's my take on the Spirit jumps. Awesome 4 jump set. The second that everyone says is too long was fun, if you give it you can make it and it's great. I really enjoy the 4th, or showtime as they call it. It isn't so massive that you can't make it this year, just a nice jump with a good steep landing, and you don't need to go 100mph into it. You can make it from standing on top of the third jump. Good work Spirit, should be a fun year.
