Replying to New to Whistler

My friend and I are leavin' from quebec next week to in go live whistler all winter. We plan to be there 6 months we just rent a Chamber at HI hostel to get us started. We were woundering if there is anything that we need to know or any advice is welcome. Will be riding whist all winter long and we dont know anybody outhere will be checkin for job by the day we arrive so if you got any advice or plug for habitation go for it and write it down !
