So I've bough computer parts off this guy before and he's legit. He is gonna give me a amd 8150 a crossfire v motherboard and a h110(I think) water cooler for $550. He then offered to completely redo my pc for around $1300 (with the parts) and make it look badass. What he said exactly was "I can't draw for shit apparently. Basically it will be a bare metal chassis, either rusty and jagged or smooth and painted, your choice, open air and a side by side design to accommodate the water loop. 7 fans to move air where its needed most. Motherboard and GPU sit in one half, power and water loop in the other for looks."

Is this worth it NS?

Also thought I'd add that for the 1300 he is gonna water cool everything including my card which is a amd 7950 and redo the case. And he is gonna include the motherboard, CPU and water cooling unit. Abe either way I'm buying the CPU motherboard and water cooler jut do I go for the full custom?

water cooling can be a massive bitch if it's a 'custom' job...i'd only buy the pre-made ones...so much less to worry about

and are you overclocking? why?

Look at cyberpower and ibuypower pc's i just got one for $550 and it's awesome. For $1300 i don't know what the hell you could get but sure as hell a better deal than some custom job.

Don't do that.  Way overpriced.  In my local CL one guy is selling a amd8150 w/ z77 motherboard and 8 gigs ram for $200.  I built a computer of Craigslist parts a month ago.  Here is my specs

amd phenom 2 955 BE

Gigabyte micro atx motherboard (idk model)

gigabyte gtx 460

8gb 1600 g.skill ripjaws

^^^^Got all this for $180 on CL.

raidmax blade, 500w power, win 8, 1TB western digital hard drive, cooler master 120m water cooler, some led fans

Made a solid gaming pc (a little outdated) for about $350

So no, wait for a better deal.  Building pc's are so much fun too, im currently trying to sell mine and build a better one.

your getting overcharged. If you want just parts, go look at tigerdirect barebones packages. You can find a good deal on there.
