ik the general rule is like u dont want brakes to be 15mm wider...but is it really a big issue to put 100mm brakes on my 82 under foot surface skis?

I doubt 3mm is going to make it not work. With that said I had 100s on my invaders a long time ago. It was fine as far as I can remember

If you ride switch and carve they can catch and tear off. Might if you carve forward enough.

that metal has a rather low melting point, its malleable, you can make any brake fit any ski, most of the time. Perhaps you could just get wider skis?? just sayin

Yeah, sure you can, but it can be dangerous landing switch. They will tear off. Also, your pants will get caught on them and you will have to stand with your feet wide all the time, or they will hit..
