Hope you guys like free stuff! I’m going to do my best to make this a weekly thing, but no promises. The concept is simple. I’m going to randomly give away stickers, NS merch, random gear, etc in exchange for your feedback about various parts of Newschoolers, such as forums, NSTV, contests, news, the home page, social media, the mobile site, etc.

Today we’re going to be looking at the Newschoolers.com Facebook page. I have ten sticker packs ready to be shipped.

Here’s what I need from you:

- Head on over to our Facebook page (we’d suggest giving it a like while you’re visiting)

- Scroll through our timeline and check out what’s been going on

- Post your favourite piece of content in this thread

- If you’d like, share that content on Facebook as well. Because hey, why not?

- At the end of the day, I’ll randomly pick ten members who have posted in here

Glad you agree! I'm trying to feature two kinds of topics -- ones that will be answered in the comments, and ones that draw people to the forum thread.

The goal is to bring more people to Newschoolers, but also to bring Newschoolers to more people...

Skimmed through op so hope I got the gist right.

Nice to have the cover page changing every so often, before it was just the same one forever.

#nsnews is good too, easy to find all the latest news you've posted instantly.

Videos on facebook are not a good choice, quality is just fucking abysmal

photo of the day is awesome, and hope to see more of that in the future. maybe a video of the day is a possibility too? I dig the contests and it would be sick to see some NS merch or gear from some other brands be given out as prizes for a contest of some sort (edits, photos, etc.) I think the facebook page is on the right track in terms of constantly being updated on a daily basis and posting interesting content as well as getting us hyped on skiing and contributing. I found no problem that stood out to me, but interacting with "likers" more would be cool to see

VOTD -- I'll definitely try and get those up daily moving forward

Contests -- We'll be doing more of them in the future, although everything is going to be run through our contest system. Facebook is pretty strict about that kind of stuff

On a similar note, we'll be putting some new merch in the NS Store very soon. The goal is to liquidate the product ASAP, so that we can begin putting together a new line based 100% on your feedback.

I've been checking out the NS facebook page a lot recently, mainly because you post the bangers or set them as cover photos. What I like most is that you link to threads with a short caption, and I'm sure it generates lots of interest.

You've done this the past couple of days, and I thinks you should continue. I enjoy how the photo if the day matches up with the cover photo... its quite nice. Sometimes I see it before I go on NS... and I like it... continue... its the little things.

Yup! I definitely do my best to check all the comments (and once I've read it, I'll give it a "like").

Regarding messages sent to the fb page, we've decided to go with an auto-reply in hopes of keeping most "to-do" communications through NS or via email.

I like the news and the threads, but not the photo of the day. I always see the POTD on the splash page or whatever it's called, but I don't always enter every thread or read all the news, so if I'm missing something, I see it on the FB.

I like all the promotions you guys do of important threads/ pictures on NS. It always seems to be something I haven't seen before and reminds me to check other parts of the site that I wouldn't normally visit.
