Skiing NZ! mountain recommendation

I have a buddy that is living down there. I am planning a trip early august and this is what he told me from his experience so far:

"Cardrona has the park and Treblecone has the big mountain. I have heard the Remarkables are pretty good as well..... We are getting hammered down here with snow. Biggest storm in 20 years has been hitting us. Roads are closing for flooding it's ridiculous."

So make of it what you wish. Sounds like its a good time to head over.

if ur staying in queenstown u will probably be going to either remarkables or treble cones.. treble cones have longer runs IMO but the park there is pretty much non-existent. remarks have 2 parks, beginner and advanced and then a third they call "the stash" which is a bunch of hidden boxes and log rails going down a hidden run. never really hit that while i was there because the conditions werent great. but bottom line is, remarks for park, treble cones for long runs to lay down some carves.

cardies has a bit of everything, tc is steep, snow park is dead (weep) and remarks has a good park from what ive heard

Pretty much this. If you're into park, then Remarks and Cardrona are where you want to head. Coronet and TC have nothing in the way of park. TC is great for off piste though.

Cadrona.....know a few guys who rip it there. Nothing but positive vibes. Turoa is pretty crazy, kune is a sick sick town. Love that place.

MT HUTT FTW>!?!??@@?@?@ i worked their last season and it was sick. they surrently have the most snow out of any NZ resort the got like 380cm right now. i would recommend that or Craigieburn , try out some of the clubie mountains too if u got time, on the north island i would recomment tuora. its on mt ruapheu

For everyone telling this guy to go to Nth Island/Canterbury, did you read he is going to Queenstown? That means Coronet and Remarks, maybe Cardrona/TC/Ohau if he rents a car.

TC has the best terrain, Cardies the best park, Remarks the best mix of both, Coronet has some fun terrain and is the closest to town, at least that's how it was the last time I was there.
