I don't know about you guys but i like the older baggy style of skiing. Now only some skiers are still baggy. Steve Stepp still keeps it baggy and looks pretty dope while riding. Tom wallisch in old 4bi9 was pretty baggy. I see the ski industry changing and im wondering what you guys think.
I am a baggy advocate however, its what you feel in your style of riding. I will say this though, I dont want to see the outline of your dick in skinny jeans on the ski slope, There gets a point where the tightness gets wierd
I think Baggy looks better on people who are more into doing bigger tricks with a flowy, floaty style. and it goes alot better with rap and hip hop music. Tight seems to work more with the creative side of skiing, like some people on traveling circus, because it is a different form of skiing then most people are used to, therefore clothing can somewhat be different also.
GaNgSta Black Steve style. No but reg fit pants (not slim, not baggy, REG) and then work the baggy hoodie, tee, jacket whatever floats your boat. I pull out The Mountain Brand XXXXXLT wolf shirt sometimes for sure.
I like to wear super baggy pants with a pretty baggy sweatshirt. Then I top that bitch off with a skin tight denim jean vest. If I'm feelin really baller I'll pull out that bedazzled bitch and rock the fuck out of some unicorn rhinestones.
I like to keep it fitted right, not skinny jeans tight but not xxxl. That and a slim and tall jacket looks best on me, and isn't ridiculous for back country.
now I'm not shure if I'm just a fucking voyeur, but I just can't enjoy someone looking like gaper who's good. I might be like "damn wish I could shred like that, awesome skills", but on the other hand "meh, wouldn't watch it too much again"
then again it depends on which way of good skiing... if he hooks a tripple in a racing suit it's different to watch than tryna be G on rails in a racing suit...
it's just a matter of context I think...
fuck it, summed up I still have to say: where whatever the fuck makes you feel comfortable. if you feel good, you ski good. if you feel stylish and good looking, you feel comfortable, you feel good. (I go baggy because I don't like my balls being cut off and because I just grew into the "old" newschool skiing, even though I'm in the rather younger generation of freeskiers. glad I like the baggie look better, dunno why, just feels right)
I like how both look; but they both can get to a point where its ridiculous....like shaun white tight is a no....and the baggy past your knees and looking like a midget is a no.
This is the most logical answer I have seen in this thread. No one should spend time looking in the mirror when there is a hell of a good time to be spent skiing.
I think this implies how much of a poser you are. Seeing that you probably can't do a double, and you probably never attempted a mute unless you did it the gaper way by doing it on the ground, pull your ski up and claim that you grabbed mute to your gaper friends.
