At 5'6' you'll be about 167.5 cm tall, so the 161s won't be nasty short for you or anything, but the 169s are still taller than you are, keep in mind. It just depends on if your current ones feel short or not, since it's mostly preference. Just ask yourself if it feels like you are overskiing them because they are too short.

yeah, 169 should be ok, but dont go any longer,or there will be to much ski there and you will have to work them to hard to get them to do what you want to do. my genral rule of thumb is to get my skis as tall as i am, if i can.

Go out on the hill, find someonw who skis a ski similar to 169cm, and ask to use theirs for a moment. See how YOU like it.

None of us can tell you what size ski to ski. You need to decide yourself, because it is all prefecence once you know how to ski.

yea im like 2 inches shorter. i want another ski because thier 720's, which isnt true twin. maybe i should just wait till midseason and see what i think?

also you have to take into consideration how much you weight because generally a longer ski will be stiffer. You would probably be able to butter a 161 fairly easily wereas a 169 would probably be harder to
