im pretty sure its only 27 degrees and the wind chill was 21. I doubt any of them will get frost bite. They have huge jackets that fit over their pads for a reason.

this is why it sucks to be a browns fan. up by 12, hard not to be excited. but in about 5 minutes the pats could get a td and with their luck, fumble the kick return and be down by 14-12. please god

Walked away from the TV after the Dolphins game, wild finish. Pissed the ravens pulled ahead somehow against the Vikings, another wild finish. And what the fuck is going on in NE???

It seems like the 1 PM games all were insane and covered in snow. Wish I had NFL WhiteZone today.

But in all honesty, bad refereeing has been rampant this year. IE BJE had a touchdown that wasnt today as well.

Anyone who thinks Gronk is injury prone is an idiot btw. Putting that out there now.

He has been struck with bad luck. Nothing more. If you ask me, the new rules, much like Merriweather once stated, has put the DBs at a disadvantage because of their size and weight, and results in tackling the knees. No DB can tackle a Gronkowski, Megatron, Graham, etc from the waist to shoulder area and expect to stop them.

Goodell needs to figure out how to protect these guys as well.

who knows what would happen if he did things differently all we know is what has happened doing thing this way isn't working. you can say they aren't related but it seems indicative of a guy who just doesn't take a lot of stuff seriously.

I dont buy the argument that they need to be protected; gonzalez, megatron, graham, davis, and gates don't really seem to have any issues.

I'm not saying he shouldn't change his habits, i think he should, but i don't think this injury is a result of his lifestyle outside of football. It's just a hard hit in a bad place, sometimes it happens and all the training in the world isn't going to stop it

you guys cannot be serious about gronk. thats a pretty unlucky play and literally ANYONE wouldve had their knees taken out by it. he was pretty lucky actually that his leg slipped out to relieve some pressure. he most definitely wont be back this year tho.

sometimes its just luck or bad luck. this whole "injury-prone" thing gets blown out of proportion. like vick wasnt hurt from a hit the last few times, but was killed in the pocket and had some problems with his hamstring. ryan mathews was called a sissy for his collarbone issues, but that was just unlucky. he had over 30 touches yesterday without an issue, most people were sure he couldnt handle 30 touches without gettin injured.

adrian peterson, another good example, as tough as they come, but yes, even he can tear an ACL (on a hit that wasnt as high speed as gronks injury) apparently. also yesterday he got hurt on an unlucky play.

i am not saying there arent people who shouldnt play football since their bodies are not holding up. but 90% of injury prone discussions are just overblown. its a fucking violent sport and noone can be sure to play the next week, and all these guys that dont miss games obviously do something right but they are also luckier than tough.

Did anyone see me at the Pats game yesterday wearing my NS bandanna?

I was at the Saints comeback game also and stayed 'til the end both times. Place got CRAZY. These comeback victories, while not reassuring for our post-season hopes, are fun as hell.

I think I'm wearing the bandanna to every game now, feels like good luck!

gronk is the definition of injury prone, injured in college, injured throughout his short nfl career, slow healer. luck is when preperation meets opportunity. this thread is the only place Ive seen ppl saying he's not injury prone and so far its only been people who like the pats.
