hahah no penalty on that head to head hit? nfl officiating is so fucking bad, I dont think its intentional or anything but they are just so inconsistent, they're way too old to be out there so they cant get into the right position to take the correct calls and just end up guessing half the time. bring back the replacements

He was very, VERY good through that second half. 7/7 on one of his drives, making smart passes and picked apart the coverage denver was running. I won't say flawless, but he killed it. Glad to go to bed with the W

That was one of the worst games I've seen Manning play in a long time. I don't feel like this one was a fair comparison of the two at all.

Well that's my point. Obviously conditions were horrible and made it especially hard for any quarterback to prove his worth. But still Brady found a way to be effective and play well and get the win, Manning didn't. That's why, if given the choice, I'd take Brady to be my quarterback over Manning, he's much better than Manning at finding a way to win in less than ideal circumstances

It's hard to say Brady wasn't the better QB last night. Stats, outcome, intangibles pretty much all favor brady

It's also getting more and more clear that Brady is simply better when they play against each other. Brady is now 10-4 against peyton with a 3-1 postseason record over him. The only post season loss was that massive comeback in the dying seconds. In all of those playoffs games peyton only had the lead for a total of 20 seconds. Their overall playoff record isn't even close Brady is 17-7 and peyton is 9-11

Regardless, they are the two best of their generation and two of the greatest of all time and I really hope that they see each other again in the AFC champ game because that will be awesome

BB is very far removed from the game operations of the offense. That responsibility is solely on the shoulders of mcdaniels and brady. Belichick has nothing to do with the play calling during the no huddle offense the pats usually run and the only time his input is shown is during potential game changing plays

Belichick has such little to do with the offense you'll often see him talking to his defense on the sideline while the offense is mid-possession. He's practically dead to the world when the offense has the ball, he has very little impact on play calling. Similar but not quite the caliber as peyton, brady has nearly full reign when the ball is in his hands

How can you possibly make this claim considering that We've never seen Brady without Belichick? You have absolutely no idea how well Brady would do without Belichick as his head coach. What a stupid fucking thing to say.

Not exaggerating at all actually. It's completely founded in fact, do a little research next time maybe you'll stop spewing random nonsense in this thread.

Peyton has the most freedom in the league when it comes to running an offense. Brady is a close second with virtually no input from the head coach, but input from mcdaniels. It's not some big secret...

But you're assuming Brady is only playing as well as Manning because of Belichick. We've never seen Brady play without Belichick, you have absolutely no idea how good he would be, and are basing your assumption on literally no factual evidence. It's a stupid, unfair assumption to make.

no Im assuing that belicheck is the best coach of the last 10-15 years and that playing on the team with the best coach is something to be considered when comparing him to a player who doesnt play with the best coach of the last 10-15 years, its really not hard to understand and if someone with a different screen name said it there wouldnt be an issue

Yeah, Belichick is a great coach, but has already been said Brady and McDaniels do most of the work on the offense at this point. Beyond that, at a certain point there is only so much coaches can do and it becomes up to the players to execute properly, and nobody does it better than Brady.

Also, Manning has, except for maybe 2 or 3 years, had much better weapons at his disposal to throw to than Brady. So if you're going to argue Brady loses credit because he is coached by Belichick, then surely Manning should get some kind of an asterisk because he has, for the most part, been surrounded by a much stronger core of receivers than Brady has.

Peyton has a history of shitting the bed in every playoff/clutch situation every year, so I'd much rather have Brady. Plus Brady has had far inferior weapons over his career, and was able to do more. It's a matter of opinion though, they're both future HoF QB's who had awesome careers.

To your other point there is also no denying Brady has done more with less. They showed the comparisons before the start of teh game last night. Peyton's supporting cast absolutely dwarfs brady's. Peyton has had many many more 1,000 yard rushers and 1,000 yard receivers over his career to help him along. Obviously you can only play with who you have on your side but it's the same type of argument against Phil Jackson.

I think it's because a lot of sports fans are immature and can't handle someone being better than them, so when Peyton beat us and was a threat to us in the '00s, everyone started hating him, regardless of the fact that he's an admirable competitor and not a douchebag. Personally, I don't see what there is to not respect, just like I don't get the hate towards Brady from fans of other teams.

Yeah, unfortunately the "weapons" argument against Peyton is valid imo. Edgerrin James vs Corey Dillon in the twilight of his career and Laurence Maroney. Marvin Harrison and Reggie Wayne vs David Givens, David Patten, aging Randy Moss, etc. Brady did have Welker, but he wasn't as good as Harrison. And it goes on... A sound argument can be made for either QB. I'd choose Brady for the clutch factor, but it's a matter of opinion.

As for Brady vs Manning, they'll both be remembered as two of the best quarterbacks to play the game. If I had to pick a qb for my team it would be Brady though. That motherfucker is so damn clutch it's unbelievable.

What's even better is they are both class acts. From what I can tell they are both genuinely good dudes and are very humble. Some of the nicest guys in the league.

second person to say that without even trying to back it up. what was bullshit? the redskins should change their name? incognito and philbin are at fault? the sole undefeated team in the leauge is deserving of the #1 power ranking? that a game shouldnt be decided by a penalty during a play that never would have never materialized? that defenders have no options left? or that brady benefits from being coached by belichick? everything Ive said is valid but people dont like the way its said especially when its about their team
