im getting a new longboard and im gonna get a cruiser. i want one with a kicktail and thats fairly wide. what should i get? i was thinkin a santa cruz or landyachtz. and im not new to longboarding and cruising.

If your pinching pennies get a skateboard set up and put longboard wheels on em, and put on shit tons of risers and buy long ass hardware so then if you feel like skateboarding you jut switch out the wheels. Thats what I do.

Bustin Maestro, extremely maneuverable and likes to play. I can kickflip this board. It tricks like a skateboard but rides like my friend dustins mom in her prime.

Hah, your a dipshit. I skateboard frequently and consider myself pretty good. There is a clear difference between longboarding and skateboarding and it doesn't take a genius to know it. Educate yourself on both sides. There's a lot of longboarders that can skate twice as good as you. Longboarding is not all about pushing around town in flip-flops. I and many others could show you up on a 38 inch longboard on the street and in the park.

Educate yourself before you post stupid shit.

i got a elephant circus train og with some 159 indi truck, some lift pad to get the clearance in between the board and the wheel and some globe cruiser wheel 60mm. The good thing with this board is that you can do every single trick that you can do with a normal board.

Buy a regular skateboard get riser pads and fat wheels. Or just pick up a deck, maybe a Hosoi or something sick like that and build around it. Stay away from completes for the most part.

where in the flying fuck did the hate come from longboarding? I do actually have a regular skateboard with risers and otang fat frees for wheels and it does not feel like a longboard. You definitely can steam roll over more stuff but you still got to be attentive when you are riding compared to a longboard. On longer rides and bombing hills at 30mph you don't want to be dealing with that shit.

used to skate, kinda over that scene. Longboarding is super fun to cruise around at night and ish. I guess i would be bugged by longboarders at the skate park or something but I don't really get all the hate from skaters especially, just something else to do that's fun.. cruising hills in the summer is whats up, I don't see an issue.

I'd say the hate for longboarding is because so many are just fucking tools. Also people who casually longboard and tell others they "skate" drive me mad. Also there is no need for a longboard if you're going around campus etc. Lastly my biggest hate foe longboarders is for this who claim to have bombed all these hill at these ridiculous speeds.
I don't have a problem with all longboarders, but its anotherinstance where the tools give everyone a bad rep.

this. people just need to realize there are gapers in all facets of life. skiing longboarding whatever. I agree with whoever up there though, when someone is like I skate and they long board, pretty lame. honestly though, if that bugs you, give up now because life gets alot harder than that.
