When/ What session is the best time to go to windells. Im thinking session 3 or 4 because those sessions only have ski and snowbaording going on. Correct me if im wrong. ++k for helpful answers
if you go to sessions 1 or 2 the public park will be ill and the windells park will be pretty good
however by the time of session 3/4 they usually rebuild the windells park so its ill and the public is only aight by then. its also crowded as fuck in those middle sessions
late sessions...I cant speak from experience on these
There is no real best session, just go when will be the most fun for you. Obviously the earlier sessions will have the best parks, but the later sessions are more mid-summer so it will be less time between your session being over and the season starting. And the middle sessions have the most people, and crowded parks are not as fun.
I'm pretty sure they had a powder day during session one last summer. I would say no later than 3 if you want optimal snow conditions as from what I have seen in videos and pictures the snow gets a lot worse by the end of summer but I have never been to know how the park is at different times
And around sessions 5-7 there isnt enough snow to ski all the way to the bottom of mile. so you either lap the rope tows they have, or hike at the bottom to get back to the lift
When you guys say the snow goes to shit, do you mean it becomes too slow and you can't hit jumps properly?
I'm on the East Coast, so my definition of "shit snow" is anytime they blow fake snow on the mountains which is complete shit and makes jumps virtually impossible.
i never said anything about the midwest. only the west and trust me i know how bad it is. my mountain is about 6-700, but the park is about 150. its soo small
ya i was there and that was session one,we got to ride the mile for 2 days, and palmer had been open for 1 day only. The rest of the time we spent lapping stormin normin with a park that had like 8 features in it, i still had a good time but I'm never going back to a session that early, hopefully session 4!!!
