Carvin' skis

I need a new set of skis for work--I'm thinking Atomic R:EX's or B:5's. Does anyone have any expearence in either of these skis? I'm 6'3'' 190lbs and an agressive skier. We don't get much pow here in the NE but i'm relocating soon so I need skis that will be able to handle nething.

I don't think you'll get many good replies on this website about those particular skis. Try the forums at Epicski.com, and you'll get a lot of help.

Two things:
A)Do you mean M:EX? they switch em up to the Metron series instead of the Ride series.
B)Go for the M:11. Still will have good float in powder because they increased the width of the ski, but it will do much better on groomers.

Actually I did mean the R:EX. I was either gooin with the B:5's from this year or ebaying a pair of R:Ex's from last year--i could throw a pair of look p12's on em for cheep, that way i wouldn't need the atomic bindings like with the b:5's.

get em. they are a solid ski. Stiffer than anything I'd ever buy, but if you like to power your skis, atomic is the way to go. Keep in mind the EX isn't gonna handle as well on groomers as an R:11, but lots of guys at my hill use em.

those sound like great choices but really for an OUTSTANDING carving ski I going to have to suggest the K2 Public Enemy. Then you can teach all those kids how to carve backwards as well as forwards.
