Help "movie recording has been stopped automatically" k+
So today I was about to film, I was at the top of the park follow camming with my t2i. It was about 25 degrees and windy... And I got an error message saying "movie recording has stopped autumatically" I don't think it's the buffer, because I've used the SD car many many times before. I thought it was the cold, but I'm still getting the error message now, hours later, indoors... The fuck is going on?
What card are you shooting on? One of the cards I used to use was the proper speed but would do the same thing so I got a sandisk extreme and never had the issue again. I also shoot on a t2i.
Regardless of whether or not they worked in the past, you NEED class 10 cards if you're shooting with a dslr. Pick up some new cards and see if that helps
This. Even fast sandisk class 6s don't work (work for a little bit but frequently give the 'movie recording has been stopped automatically') for me. If you're using magic lantern it will probably be even more, since its reading that data off the memory card plus the normal amount.
I've also heard that it can be caused by deleting images/clips on the camera without re-formatting the card. I was having the same problem but now do a low-level format, use a class 10 card, and never delete shots and I've never had it happen since.
I'm almost positive that it has nothing to do with the speed of the card but as some have pointed out, you need to format the card if you've done a lot of in camera deleting. I've had class 10 cards with the same problem.
I used to get this problem when shooting with a class 6 card... Switched to a class 10 I already had and everything worked just fine.. Definitely the card.
