How did Nick Goepper win over Henrick in X Slope? his rail section was sloppy , his jump tricks were good but henrick did a fucking nose butter 450 on pretzel 450 out ..and an epic nose butter double 12 blunt... and all sorts of other stuff..
maybe it was the right side stuff Nick did.. but still whack.. I hate the guys style he skis like an aerialist that grabs his skis.. Xgames judges suck balls..

Henrik didn't have an unnatural dub, and Nick had 2. The only unnatural spin Henrik did was switch right 9. Stoked Henrik got 2nd! Balled so hard

X games judges cream themselves over both way doubles, especially when they're in a row like goepper did.

His rail section was hardly sloppy. He was smoother throughout his entire run. All Henrik's gorilla steeze does is try and make up for sloppy landings. It doesn't work though.

Goepper also took all the landings pretty deep. All 4 ways doubles compared to all dubs one way, pretty easy choice for the judges. Henrik's rails were better, but Nick's jumps were quite a bit better than Henrik's.

Lets be honest with each other for twenty seconds, the real tragedy of the day is not Henrik not getting first. He still got second! Podiuming the X-Games would make any skiier super stoked except for maybe Dumont a couple years ago or maybe Goepper, due to their intensely competitive nature. The real crime is that Bellemare did not make the podium. Although you would also be nuts to not give the podium to James Woods. Tbh I think that Goepper shouldnt have even been on the podium. Woods should have won it cuz his rails were great and he went right and left with insane innovation on grabs and shit, i mean there wasnt one orthodox grab in there. He went safety to japan on the first hit, truck on the second, and octo to lead mute on the last! Second shoulda been Henrik cuz no one does nose butter dubs, but I agree he should have had maybe a lil more right rotation. Third, definitely bellemare, because he just brought a dirty but at the same time clean style, with the best rails in the game imo

His run was harder, period. Henrik basically did the same two tricks (dub 12 and butter dub 12) and only did a sw right 9. Yeah, the butter 4 on pretzel 4 was FUCKED but thats 1 of 8 features and his nose butt dub 12 blunt was sick too but also again just 2 of 8 that was "epic". Goeppers run overall was fire, really solid rails, two sick dubs with blunts, an average sw unnatty dub 10 and then a sick sw dub misty 12 that he went huge on. He definitely deserved the win, anyone who says he doesn't is just hating on goepper because they dont like his style. Competitions aren't style contents, sorry.

James Woods Kills it so hard ... that Right side double 12 truck driver bone... was epic... so was his fakie lipslide 450 out..on the down rail feature... that kid has style for days!! Super stoked a kid from England is that good its pretty amazing actually !!
Nick G is what's wrong with skiing in my opinion ... sure the kids way better at jumping than I am but he still is an aerialist grabbing his skis... not a fan. But each to their own.. Forums are for stating ones opinion !! hence why they exist in the 1st place :)

i love henrik and i love his run but you can not compare them. Nick i believe did all doubles while henrikdid 2 (Not saying i love doubles but it is a comp) and nick where harder and unnatural. i love henrik and his tricks but just because he can nose butter doesnt mean he should win everything

I personally though Bellemare had the best run of the day. No hate on Goepper, his run was more technical, but Bellemare had everything in his run, everything was stomped and done with so much style.

Eheath cut the shit about gapers rails, he had good jumps but theres no denying, his rails were shit. For fuck sakes he wobbles on a switch 2 in 2 out. Easyest fucking trick possible. You can tell when he lands he wanted to slow down in a switch pizza but he got flamed on it last time so he choses otherwise and looked completely out of control. If i can do your whole rail run, i dont think you should podium because im far from x games calibre but i could have easily done every one of his tricks and cleaner. Hes the only one I can say that about and he won. Such bullshit. Im sick of rails being ignored in comps.

Besides Henriks future spin on the first rail feature (yes it was cool), can you please point out to me one single difficult rail trick he did? Front 4 out of an up rail.. left 270 onto a box.. to blind 3 swap on a box.. The entirety of this website can or at least should be able to do all of those tricks in their fucking sleep.

I agree somewhat, maybe not the 1st place run but, at least 3rd. I mean Woodsy was sick but, I thought bellmare set himself apart by throwing flips off rails twice. He also stomped everything clean and effortless.

bellemare, woodsy andreas and henrik all had runs that looked better than goeppers, but the fact is goeppers was very technical overall and it was the cleanest so he won. Woodsy probably had a better run but in my opinion but never quite put it down perfectly. Henrik's lacked rightside and dub 12 and butter dub 12 are pretty much the same trick, despite the first rail trick and how crazy a nosebutter dub 12 is, I think he was overscored.

I would be interested to see a slopestyle comp scored something like street league but adjusted for skiing. This is just a poorly thought out example but something like:
- 8 features:
Points out of 10 for each feature. Essentially marked for technicality but with some leeway, marked down for sloppy landings.
- 20 'bonus' points for overall impression, flow between features, style, variety, creativity etc.

He had a jump banger and a rail banger. Gaper had one jump banger and average rails. It would be ok if his rails were landed clean but each of them looked sloppy as fuck.
