tip: ask for advice before you purchase. I hate to say you made a poor purchase, but you did. the Lord was one of the most boring skis i've ever skied. it literally does nothing well. it skids turns, doesn't float and has some of the worst edge hold i've ever experienced. and it's a more all mountain oriented ski, can't imagine it's going to do great skiing switch. Pros - it's light?. sorry if that's a bit disheartening, but that's honest. hope you got a good deal on em.
They are almost 400 on evo and they are last years skis, I just happened to find a sick deal on them, there are other threads where people have said they liked them, but i wanted to know more about there park performance. No need to tell me to make a chair out of them.
very directional, only a partial twin tip tail, stiff in the wrong places, no durability features. probably not going to be the best park ski. i've jumped around on them outside of the park and they didn't inspire confidence.
You have a foam core, extruded base, cap ski that feels dead and lifeless.... Do not expect these skis to do anything exciting. Go ski them and see for yourself.
OK...so here's the thing...I never had a pair of park skis before this year...last year i skiied 2009 salomon lords mounted at recommended...I thought they were pretty stable in the park for an all mountain ski (I skiied everything in Aspen/Snowmass on them outside the park) and I could still get some laps in the park back east with some decent sized kickers...
Moving forward....I now bought some Armada Halos (broke them) and Armada hooked me up with some Alpha 1s...now these are my idea of a fun ski....I've been hitting everything with confidence and can still ski anything (besides deep stuff)...
but yeh just my 2 cents...you'll still have fun on them (especially for that price)
i have the lords, i ski in australia so they do the job here, not very durable but there not that bad, they do the job but not that great. $160 is a ripper deal, you will have fun.
I have them and everyone saying they are good for nothing is lying, I do like 90% rails the edges are pretty good not as bad as the surface no times I have, they float on 1> ft of powder alright, better than park skis, they ski switch fine I have had mine mounted at reccomended and a -1 I'd say do not do reccomended if you ski park, they're heavy stiff, and stable much more lively then my anthems and no times, for 160 it's a no brainer, my top sheets didn't hold up well but 160 is cheap nice pickup
