A small mountain you've probably never heard of. Not surprising, it's small and they've never had a park. I'd post some pictures but the rails are still being finished.


If you're in upstate new york. The 518 region that is, and aren't doing anything next saturday come check it out. I've never worked with these people before, I used to ride there up until 7-8 years ago. My knees broken and I'm helping out my old homeland while I rehab it.

If you're in the area come check it out. Maybe as the season goes on we can build some new stuff and actually get a decent park with some flow.

Come check it out even if you're just showing up to tell me you hate me and throw snowballs at my face. I'd love to see a couple nsers.

So far we have a 22 foot flatbar rail and a 21 foot single tube down rail. Might have another rail done by the contest.

I don't want to speculate on what might be in the works in case they aren't finished in time.


Oak is about a 35 min drive west of Gore Mountain. Just over an hour drive from TOGA, and about an hour and 20 from albany.

This is sounds pretty sick, I'm always down to support an up-in-coming park at a smaller resort. My knee is in pretty bad shape and I'm taking a trip to with my college's ski club on Sunday, but I might give it a go up there!

I'll post back up later in the week to confirm!

Word. I hear you on the knee. I can't ride myself at the moment. If you make it that's awesome, if not it's all good.



Update.

100% of the 10$ entry fee is now going into steel to build more rails. So if anyone wants to show up, sesh a little bit, drink some beers and have some fun do it up. It's for a good cause.

Is this going to be the most intense competition where you'll get sponsored if you do well and win tons of $? Probably not. But it should be a good time.


At the very least there will be a 22 foot 2x6 flat rail. Hoping the other rails work out and we have a large tire jib and some other stuff.

Just sent the invite to about 30 skiers and a few boarders I know, a good handful are optimistic about coming. I'll probably be up there too, car goes into the shop tomorrow, hopefully will be done by the end of business on Friday.

Keeping my fingers crossed because there's 3 kids depending on me for a ride...

well i know toggenburg is scheduled as far as I know to have a rail jam the same day. the two mountains are far enough apart that it shouldn't effect either jam two much but just a heads up.

i live 10 minutes from togg and won't be showing at oak lol. i would if i could/ it was convenient.
