I got brand new 2012 Blends and the recommended mounting spot is -4, that means the recommended line on the ski is -4 from true center, right? I ski 50% park and 50% powder/all mountain. I picked them up mounted to the recommended line and they look too far back for park (switch skiing and rails). I brought them in to go +2 from the rec line which is -2 from true center. I brought them back last night and he left me a voicemail about it not being a good idea
He said something about the midsole line being at the right at the fat part of the ski. Would I still be able to ski switch without difficulty and do rails? He said ride them first but since lines have one mount point.
I mounted my blends 1cm back from center... The guys at the shop were legit and they said it was fine. But since you already mounted yours I don't think they want you to remount so I would just stick with what you have. I skied standard mounted park skis my first few years and I was fine, you will be too
