Line Tac+Dart vs Mad Owl Poles

Hey Newschoolers, I want your help deciding whether to get the Line Tac/Dart or the Mad Owl Coalition Poles. I like the line poles design but I want to help out Mad Owl what poles do you guys recommend. I know some are probably going to hate but ++++K for the helpful answers. Also I ski about 90% park and like shorter poles. Thanks.

i use the tacs just cause they're cheap and they weight like nothing in my hands. Mad owls look cool, but really, they're just poles?

they are poles. why spend 50 on something that can break so easily. and they will get scratched and look like shit in a few days, so designs dont really matter. just go to a ski swap or value village and get some dirt cheap poles (or steal them from the rental shop). cut them down, you can spray paint them if you really want them to look good, and put a grip on.

if you want a thinner grip, you can either use a bmx grip or make your own. to do that, wrap it in duct tape/athletic tape/whatever to make it the thickness you want, then i wrapped that in tennis grip. if you want straps on them, like i did, what i did was tape a nickel over the end, wrap it in the tape when you are doing the other tape, and cover it completely when you finish making your grip. then, drill through the nickel so there is a hole in the end, which you can screw pole straps from the poles you took into. just use a little glue on the screw so it doesnt come loose. thats what i did and mine are still going strong after almost two seasons

I just bought myself a pair of old, short, Scott poles at Play it Again Sports and spraypainted them. Poles get destroyed anyway, so why drop lots of money on something you're going to destroy? Poles are poles.
