I managed to have about 10 different jobs in high school. All while playing varsity sports year round.
But its a different world now.
I can see this dilemma.
Oddly enough there were kids not like me who I remember having way more jobs than me up until 18/19. Used to be mad easy to get jobs 10 years ago as a teenager.
My high school construction job paid way more than any job I worked after college (sad but at least I didn't fucking cry about it and did something.) Not only that I remember the 30 year old crack head on the crew made about 25 an hour, and some guy who was 40 like my boss and was unemployed from his real job (unemployed respectable middle class adults were rare as fuckin dodo birds circa 2002) made fuckin 32 bucks an hour and left early 2 times a week to play the piano in some bar.
Different world. Good luck kids.
