There are many countries that don't report on these numbers...obviously the countries that choose to hide these numbers aren't doing it because their country is some fucking kind of utopia

case in point is n. korea with the incarceration rate which is estimated to be anywhere from 800-950 per 100,000....you really think these authoritarian states have lower incarceration rates than the u.s.???

Same thing with crime, there are countries with leaders that rule with fear and violence - do you think they have the willingness or ability to report everytime some grandma is knocked on her ass and her purse is stolen?

There is an insane amount of documentation for the crazy high CO2 rates China has so I'm not even going to argue that one...

A big issue surrounding this is the educational system of Porto Rico, essentially they would drag our (not so great) standards even farther down the shit hole. And how many of the people who live there could pay our taxes, and would do so willingly none the less... Their unemployment rate is also way far down. The politicians will never pass this because they would simply bring our standards down. Im not saying it's right, it's just the facts

the usa's prison system is also notoriously racist.

Honestly Cobra is right in a sense, im not saying the united states is perfect, but we are much better off then quite a few other countries.


And most of those stats are incredibly hard to get a good result for for every country involved which pretty much invalidates the validity of the infographic.
