Suggestion: Interviews with skiers we don't know

One of the big ideas behind our new homepage, and our new news system is allowing riders and aspiring media people everywhere to tell their story.

Newschoolers shouldn't be only about the spit and polish of the pro skiing world, it should be about the interesting characters and underground skiers that exist everywhere.

So if you have a knack for writing, a local pro buddy and some pictures from last year... why not tell the story of the athlete that we all should know?

If enough people from your local area are stoked on it and help upvote, it'll for sure at least get in the mix and have a sweet chance of getting homepage love.

TL;DR - Tell us a story we haven't heard before.

Well, I've always wanted to tell the story of how dedicated my mountain is to skiing. I live in Missouri by the way. You should do a "midwest parks" article and let me write about my story.

The idea here is that you write the story and post it. I know there must be a ton of closet journalists out there with a story that needs to be told.

I also think a Cam Riley interview would be awesome if you asked the right questions. Get inside the mind of the madman.

So who is going to do the interview? I wanna see someone do a really quality interview.

Hell, we could choose an athlete here, and then compile all the questions within the thread. Then we'd just have to email that to the athlete, wait for a response and post.

Here's how every pro interview goes:

Skiing is my life. It's so much fun. The thrill I get from competing, there's just nothing as good as that. I feel blessed to be able to go out there everyday and just have fun. I like competing, but It's always fun to go out with some friends and just mess around for a day on the mountain. It's always cool to see kids progressing and pushing the sport to the limit and trying new things. I go to school at the U, trying to take some summer classes so it leaves my winter season open to ski. The X-Gaymes were unreal. It was such a cool experience being around a bunch of guys that can throw down. Heli skiing in Alaska was an awesome experience, it was fun taking the tricks I learned in the park to natural terrain. Jon puts on such a great event, it's so much fun being around all of those guys in such an awesome place like Sweden. Just an all-around great vibe. Everything is fun, everyone is cool, rabble, rabble, cliche, rabble, rabble, my mom, rabble, rabble, cliche, like to listen to reggae, rabble, cliche, rabble, shooting with PBP was unreal, everything is unreal, etc.

I used to ski a shit ton. Then I went to college, graduated and half way grew up. Now I still ski a shit ton, but not as much.

In my town there is this very good skier named Vince Bugni. Though I dont know If he would like me to interview him though. I will have to talk to him about it.

Rumor has it he is actually going for a triple this season. He showed me the perfect spot for a bc booter last season just outside the boundary of timberline, its the real deal.
