Need sick skis for the season...

Hey Newschoolers,
I am going to be buying a pair of skis this year and I want some of your opinions to help me decide.
I am around seventy kilos, 175 cm tall and ski mostly in the alps. I ski around 40% park 40% piste and 20% POW, so basically all mountain. I am considering a medium price range of under $800

I am and advanced skier and want a pair of cool looking twin tips

The skis I have looked at are:
Armada El Rey( my Fav and I tried them last year and liked them)
Armada Ar7
LIne Prophet 90
and Scott Jib

Any other suggestions or favourites?

If you like the el reys you'll probably love the ar7. It's a step up in quality but also price. If I could make any other recommendations I'd add the line chronic and K2 recoil. They're wider underfoot with rocket so they float, press and butter better. I personally have a boner for K2 stuff because there skis last forever for me.

get this years El Rey. Same ski as last years but much cooler graphic. For what you want El Rey will do it all and not break the bank.
Ar7 is good but more geared towards a full park rider.

this is stupid advice. if its the same ski with a "much cooler graphic" then just buy last years for cheap and spend what you have left over on beer and weed. buying skis for graphics is literally the stupidest thing you can possibly do.

In my defense Op's title was "Need sick skis for the season".
But yes you are a 100% right. Last years El Reys will save you money Op. It's been the exact same ski for a while.

The line chronic does about as well in pow as strapping 2x4s to your boots. Anything close to boot cover depth snow is gonna give you a hard time riding on chronics.

I have chosen the El Reys, thanks for your suggestions. How about the bindings? Dead center or slightly back? The only problem is that I would like to use them for a few seasons, so is there a way to get well centered bindings and not have to remoubt them if my shoe size gets bigger?

I've rode chronics in two feet of fluff and had no real complaints. They didn't perform as well as a ski designed for powder but what did you expect?
