If you have worked in a shop, then you will know the issues with them. They can work well, but they are pretty cheap build wise, the buckles break constanlty and the shells are certainly not up to par with most current brands.
Dont get me wrong they are ok, I have skied in them and they work. But they are a 99mm last. Nearly every brand in the world has a 98mm last which could work equally well, but may have better durability.
The main thing FT did right was the advertising. They got it spot on, and getting some of the top park riders on board helped allot.
But lets be honest, untill this season they were just boots from the 80's with cool colours.
This season they have updated there tech so maybe if they continue with this trend they could become a top brand in a few years.
But you just have to look at how few shops carry full tilt to understand that they may not be as amazing as most of NS make out.
Overall, dont let me stop you using them, they can work great. But this thread was about getting a boot fitted, and if you have worked in the industry Im sure you would agree its far better to get a boot fitted in a shop by a bootfitter then just buy a boot online because you think they are cool.
