Dam textbooks...

I hate them so much. The price on them is so rediculous. Im looking online and my corporate finance book is $200 used. Can't find a lower price. I seriously can't afford my textbooks no idea what im going to do. Yest I have a job, etc but have lots of bills and other crap to pay for.

Seriously blows my mind how cabellas can send out a massive textbook catalog for free while textbook similar for a college class is going for 150+. I get it that cabellas gets lots of profit from the book, but its so dam annoying.

Have you looked for an online copy? I forget the name of it, but I stumbled upon this website with hundreds of different textbooks for free.

The instrumental analysis book I use was like 260 or something used most places, but I found it cheaper.

where do you download your books from? So far i bought 2 out of 6 books for 75 so far which isn't bad for two books at all. Though I have 4 more which im very afraid. Really trying to keep this under 300

My university has a network program where students can share ALL their files really easily. It's basically where everyone gets their movies and tv shows from, but it's called DC++ here, you have to be on the schools internet to use it.

Just google how to google better, and you can easily find your text book online.

one year when I was doing business I spent about $600 dollars on book. Luckily, i got about $300 back but yeah, it sucks. Then I switched to comm and pretty much didnt buy any books for the last 4 semesters of school, except a couple cheap ones, it was nice.

For everyone lookig for free textbooks online, they arent always easy to find and may take a while to do so, some may not even be available. To find them what you want to do is google the same lf the textbook along with one of the authors names then inclide variations of "free", "pdf", "torrent", "ebook". You usually need to include free and the book may be a torrent or it may even be a pdf direct download. Good luck. PM me of you jeed help and if i have time ill try and help you fond your book

if you get them online used, or rent them, they are incredibly inexpensive. rented a 300 dollar textbook for 40 bucks

800 fucking dollars on books this semester.  2 of them are rentals so i'm looking at some money back at the end of the semester, but still, they are outrageously expensive.

i wait until the very last day that i need them. sometimes i wont even have to buy them because they overlap with other books i already own, or i can find the articles online.

last year i had 2 profs who were against textbooks so much that they put every reading online for us. nice guys

$600ish this quarter. pretty painful. keep in mind that you can make a decent portion of that back by reselling your books at the end up the year.

This. Take good notes, borrow books and make copies when need be, and you can find most textbooks in the library anyways.

throwing out the update....after some serious hunting online for books

ended up renting one that was 200 for 80...but the rest all added up to $460

fucking brutal before i hit purchase i was sweating like crazy heart rate going up so dam annoying its really a shame how much these companies rip you off. My professor told me today I couldn't buy the last edition which was 100 cheaper because even though the information was exactly the same, the questinos were different. dam shame
