I have any extremely shitty job working at a sketchy old fast food joint, my manager is a bitch, pay sucks ass and the costumiers are mean as shit. Anyone else out there work shitty jobs?
i was a cook at a bistro/cafe for my last job. for the first few months i enjoyed it but i soon learned my boss was a crazy bitch who sometimes didn't pay on time, fired people at random just because she didn't like them, we were constantly understaffed so we all had to work very hard, and almost every employee had english as a second language so i could never understand what the fuck anybody was saying. i constantly had to train new people because the boss would fire coworkers at random. work hours were 8-5 but i often had to stay hours later and our weekends were monday-tuesday (the worst possible days to have a weekend). the staff discount on the ridiculously overpriced yet super delicious food was only 10%. the only perk was that our customers were mostly hot trophy wives so there was plenty of eye candy and sometimes the chef and master baker would give me free food (which admittedly was some of the best stuff i've ever eaten). i broke my hand outside work and was supposed to get 6 weeks off but my boss threatened to fire me if i didn't come back in 5 weeks (hand wasn't even fully healed). i worked my ass off there and the only reason i didn't get fired was because my boss told my i was the hardest worker there. when i finally quit after she decided not to give me my tips one week, she literally cried, but i didn't feel any sympathy for her. i'm told they miss me but i'm never going back. i hated it and it made me never want to work in a restaurant again.
groundskeeper/maintenance for a summer camp resort (muskoka woods)- at least i could use their equipment like mountain bikes and sail boats
dishwasher-at a heli-ski resort (not shitty when you get to go heli-skiing some days)
waterslide attendant - not as awesome as you think, but i could do waterslide, sauna, and hot tub whenever.
snow shoveler - more than a inch of snow, we have to go..that includes if its christmas eve. met doug gilmour though.
working in a deli at a grocery store - annoying ass people wanting their prosciutto cut so thin that you need a micrometer to measure it's thickness. assholes.
I am currently working door to door giving people information 6 hours a day. Not sales, but it is super shitty. I am so exhausted by the end of the day from walking constantly and having to repeat the same phrase over and over again.
However it is just a contract with a really great marketing company that I'd love to get on board with.
