I don't remember where I heard this. When Tanner Hall was at a water jump and did the backflip seen at the beginning of his segment in Propaganda, all the aerialists were talking about it that day. Maybe it struck a chord with them? I don't know if they saying good or bad about it.

? I've never tried hitting a water ramp switch, but it would take balls and skill.
Wiping out on a water ramp fucks u up, u get hugh burns that are really bad, hitting the triple switch is nuts,
But i've also seen things like double lincoin loops or Double misty 1600! I think the dbl misty was the craziest thing i've ever seen.

i dunno....it was the uglyest backflip i've ever seen....granted it was 50 feet in the air....it was one of those things that's cool because no one's ever thought of it before, but gay because it was so stalled out....i dunno, maybe it's because every time we drive past those ramps this guy on my team's like 'i cant believe tanner did a switch back off that' (we've driven by it like 200 times 4 times a day for 6 days on each of 5 trips)

the jump??? there is no quad specific aerial jump...it's just a bigger triple...because, you see, in a fis competition, you're not allowed to do quad flips, the only time people ever do them is in demonstrations, or something non-fis

in comps, such as the olympics, quad flips are not allowed, i bet they will be soon, however, because they will progress the sport much, in my opinion.
they are throwing them on water, i but i believe they may be throwing them off of triples. if they aren't triples, they are just triples wit ha few feet built on the end-the same way they build up the singles to get people used to a little bit bigger jump, for when they are 'ready' to hit the double.

I was sure they werent allowed in fis competition...okay I just read something with Bergoust and Matt Chojnacki and it goes on to say 'quad-quad jumps may be permissible in Warren Miller movies but have yet to be sanctioned in Olympic competition.' Thats not FIS specific but Im sure FIS sanctions parrallel Olympic sanctions. Anyhow its pointless arguing this shit.

man kids, I've been on the national for two years, competed world cups, I know the fockin rules. people have been doing quads at world cups, shit, nic fontaine did a quad at canadian nationals last year and maybe this year too but I didn't go cuz I quit for freeriding now. all of those are fis sanctioned events. The internet is not the be all end all for information. especially about a subject so lazily informed as freestyle skiing.

fontaine (sp?) did quads, than I read somewhere (I believe Ski Canada) that they were became banned due to safety or some shit like that so he had to go back and work on his 'style' so he had a chance in the Olympics because he relyed on his 'hucking' ability (such as a quad) to win all the time.... could have read it wrong, 'cause 'Detective' definitly know's his shit when it comes to this subject.

ok, number one, warren miller is the LEAST in the know of all production companys so their credibility is shit. Quads did get rejected by the olympic commity, BUT they were aloud in world cups prior. eric bergoust was I beleive the first to compete it in a world cup, and nic fontaine was for sure first to compete it in canada and maybe first fis event? but theres a possibility that eric had done it in previous world cup to canadian nationals. I just don't know the exact dates.

I think I've seen the movie twice, but I thought it was awesome. Tanner makes everything in that movie a smooth ride. I don't get it- you think you can talk all bad ass on the site, but if you were at the shooting of the movie, and Tanner walked by after doing that sick backflip, would you tell him it was gay?
