I agree, the article also seems like what a typical Negative Nancy NSer would say. NSer's said the same thing about WE, same thing about the tranny finding and wall riding, and the same thing about how no other pros have done dubs off rails.

The lodging at June has always been marginal. I dated a girl there back in the day. I remember her mentioning lodging sucked up there. That mountain needs the lodging for sure.
I skied there back when all the skiers were first hitting the park even though there was a sign that said, "No Skiers." Great memories and great times to be had by all at June.

I enjoyed the vids, but fuck this if NSers is about glorified show boats. This is suppossed to be a skiing community and its either a group of old haters or a group of young complimenters. If it really pisses me off you old school members bitch, you need to create a cult and shit talk on your own and or be down with us. If not, realize your just another skier and contribute by choosing to shut the fuck up. I'vr been lerking lomger than you think and yelling at new members makes you sound like grumpy old men

I actually really enjoy the "sort-of-pros-mostly-amateur" vibe. It let's me actually feel connected to the progression and fun of skiing. For example, if you look at Tom Warnick's style and bag of tricks you will see that a good assortment of them are (for a lack of a better term) easy and simple. But his style makes them so amazingly smooth and cool, not to mention add a factor of difficulty. Something so simple as a K-Fed becomes an explosion of awesomeness. This kind of thing just makes em want to ski and for me that is all that matters.

The article was dripping with sarcasm, which doesn't lend itself well to serious discussion. But I'll admit I am a little surprised that Kenworthy has held the title of being the only skier to double flip off a rail for over a year now. If I had a couple double flips in my bag and was trying to get my name out there, I would focus a TON of time to get a double off a rail. Hell, maybe I'll drag a rail out into the powder this winter and give it a shot.

i really liked the skiing, and i loved hot lunch, but that one dude seemed to be forcing the whole "lifestyle" thing a little to much. thats just my humble opinion however. theyre probably good dudes i suppose.

I thought the whole olympic section was stupid. It made it sound like doing a dub off a rail was the only measurement of a good skier. Same with the bashing of skiers that wear tighter pants and don't huck huge tricks. That article didn't wow me at all.

I understand what Ryan Dunfee was going for but that was not funny. Let's break this one down and hopefully Ryan will realize that whatever crap he writes down should never be associated with Powder... because its just horrible.

- That wasn't funny in the least bit. Here's a hint, if someone reads your joke/sarcastic comment and that person doesn't register an emotion of any kind, you suck at what you're doing.

- Lawl, I got this one also! You're trying to poke fun at the message of skiing with friends is better but you seem to have missed the part of the trailer where they mentioned that skiing by yourself is also incredibly fun. That tidbit you missed is probably why you wrote that what I can only assume to be, another horrible attempt at being humorous through sarcasm. And that joke about the athletes expressing deep wisdom, you're def. the first one to ever point that one out! Man you are on a roll with original observations!

I think its time that Powder starts having their employees ask for permission before posting dumb crap on their site.

its all about personal preference and style... if the "sort-of-pros" are having fun who is the writer to judge? skiing is about having fun and chilling with friends, like stated in the 'WE' section of that article.
