Maybe he referring to how when you update your favorite tricks it is spelled "favourite". But in your actual profile it is spelled "favorite". So they aren't consistent with the spelling.
sorry I dont study British spellings. If your going to make the WHOLE website american spelling then why the hell would you just randomly deiced to spell favOrite with a U. WHY NS WHY!
but actually if I remember correctly, the differences between american and canadian english are more related to the war of 1812 and the wave of british immigrants right after; up until that point almost all spelling was undifferentiated between the two, canada actually shifted back to the british spelling in several cases. plus our -re instead of -er endings are a result of our bilingual heritage.
