RATM is one of the most awesome and talented bands of all time. Between Tom Morello's crazy ass style and solos, their epic rhythm section, Zach de la Rocha's rhymes, and staying true to their message its nearly impossible to hate on them, much less jump out of your chair and start head banging (as shown in their video for 'Sleep Now In The Fire'. Their first album is also considered one of, if not the, highest quality sounding album of all time and is actually used to test amps by some company to ensure quality sound.
I love how witty and meaningful their music videos are too
I listen to testify just about every time I pull into my local hill
Perfect example of their amazing rhythm section. The bass is crazy
The sleep now in the fire video is hilarious, and its got stock traders head banging on wallstreet
Fuckin love Rage. There are very few bands where I can listen to every single album and song, and still get super stoked. But Rage belongs to that category
Would have loved to have been there but I was raging nateva in maine. Was bummed i missed that when the setlist texts came through though.
Battle of los angeles and green day dookie were the first albums I ever bought.
I used to set up my discman with little speaker on a picnic table and shred on my bike. Miss those days. OR just blasting it through the headphones making the 4 mile trip into town and back on my little 20 inch.
Hell yes! I have bought every single album, have all their B- Sides, and have multiple live DVDs. They are on my bucketlist to see live. Apparently Slayer has nothing on the craziness of the live show/crowd; they just go nuts.
wow i don't have time to watch the whole thing right now but the opening 2 songs were fucking rad... so awesome to hear them sound just as badass and on point in their first performance with no money and nowhere near a professional fx setup
