Subway sandwiches disgust me

I truly don't know how people enjoy subway. It really isnt healthy for you. The meat, vegies, etc are disgusting. They only put like 5 slices of meat on the entire sandwich. Blows my mind how people enjoy this garbage. Even the $5 footlong isnt even that good of a deal. After tax its 5.40 for me, so it ends up being 6 because i just toss the change into my change pile. For 6 bucks i can go to a real deli and get something that actually has turkey, ham, roast beef, etc on it. LOL at all the food "experts" who like subway

we have a 24/7 subway at a truckstop in my town. it's the only place open late and is heavily populated with drunks between the hours of 1-5am lol.

I hate subway too, they're on the same level. The only arguable point you have is that Jimmy Johns is the fastest delivery service I've ever encountered.

I never think I'm going to vomit after eating Subway, but there are two problems with the bread. The first problem is that the bread is far too gummy and chewy (even when toasted). Directly resulting from this comes problem two. The bread never seems to keep it's shape and always ends up flat as fuck. Like I said those aren't reasons to vomit. I'm talking more in the sense of what makes up a quality sandwich. If someone's budgeting and just trying to snag a large amount of food for a cheap price, by all means eat Subway. If you're willing to pay 1-2 dollars more for your food though, like I said earlier in the thread, a local deli usually blows chain delis out of the water.

Well keep in mind that Subway isn't exactly the cheapest option around here, either. Never had problems with any bread choices, either. Nice and crispy, fresh, not gummy at all.

Don't usually eat fast food, but every once in a while i get KFC mac and cheese. It tastes like a clogged artery. A delicious, cheesy, warm clogged artery.

yeah i was pretty stoked when i "discovered" the subway near my university here in austria. still like it, although i go there like once a week. sub of le day is like wat? 5 €, which is easily equivalent to what you would get at mcdonalds imo. if you mix it up and not take the same stuff all the time, its pretty legit. its obviously not healthy, but definitely not worse than "regular fast food" and i know literally nobody who doesnt like it and definitely noone who thinks its vomit-o-matic if you excuse that word.

and why would anyone calculated "after tax" and "before tax"? i mean why do you even bother dealing with the "before tax" price?

I like Subway but some of Quizno's sandwiches are really good and the college I go to has a fucking DOPE sub shop. My favorite:

-Grilled chicken breast served on toasted foccacia or however you spell it bread with some pepperjack cheese and creole as well as cajun sauces served with spinach and red onions.

I don't understand what is so disgusting about bread vegetables and meat I mean it cant be any worse than burgers from Wendy's. Its nutritional value is a hell of a lot better than the majority of other fast food chains and depending on what you get, most of their sandwiches are pretty damn good...

allllllll day, these guys deliver a sub 10x better than subway in about 15 mins, as long as itd take to drive to subway and order my sub, and JJs is way better but def more $$ compared to the 5$ footlong deal and the 2$ sixers now

wtf? ive never been to a scrubway that puts the meat on top. its always meat, cheese, mayo/sauces, veggies, and folded closed...in that order.

while i worked at subway last year i loved getting my free meal, either the pizza sub or a good turkey sub, but now whenever i think about eating their sandwiches they just seem so gross and always go for a safeway one haha. word of advice: especially don't eat that cold cut crap, it sits on the counter for a while in the open when being prepped and is just plain gross. But other then that I think the stuff there is not bad, I just don't have the stomach for it anymore.

I also always came home smelling disgusting, it sucked

Yah subway is bad. I had their "egg" once. I am disgusted. I don't eat fast food though. I refrain from eating meat so it can be hard to a balanced meal. Sometimes subway is all you have on a long drive. I would still rather go to a deli and get and egg salad sandwich

Yep thats exactly the strategy. One of my friends got caught and an employee chased him outside (he was drunk coming back from the bar, don't know why but he was alone). The guy was yelling about how he's calling the cops, etc. My friend just looks at the guy, his bagsoda, the guy, the soda... and then spikes it on the ground and sprints back to our house. Quite hilarious picturing THAT.

I have a couple friends who have worked/currently work at subways. Based on what they have told me about the behind the scenes of making (defrosting) subway sandwiches, I will never eat there again.
