Slow ns at night

why is is always slow after 12:00 am et? when i wake up in the morning it's fina again but EVERY night it gets slow. other sites don't..

I think it's because the NS servers do their daily update. For a while switching the time to around 3-4 am was considered, but then it would burden others. Usually it only bothers North Americans because for the EC it hits at 12 and for the WC it hits at 9.

Yeah, karma updates during this time as well. It use to not load at ALL for 30 minutes (started at 4am). Wish it could be moved to then and be slow for aussies and euros, not us 'mericans!
