the 2007 movie with Toby Stephens is the best one by far (imo)

it stuck to the book unlike other movies these days

The Great Gatsby book was one of the better books we read this year....especially better then, the scarlet letter.

I'll see the movie when it comes to red box or netflix.

This looks like shit. I havent read the book but we do next year. There looks like there's no plot line or conflict besides the fact they are unrequited lovers.

hmm...i didn't enjoy reading the great gatsby in high school. i did enjoy learning about the 20s though. but my favorite books that we read were the giver and the outsiders.

both on the road and the great gatsby, two of my favourite books epitomizing two crazy times in american history, both being made into films in the same year, and i'm really nervous for both. just based on director, i have higher hopes for on the road, but it basically comes down to: both could suck, both could be great. just gotta wait and see.

I feel sad for everyone saying that The Great Gatsby is a horrible book. Try reading it outside of high school. It's such an amazing book. This movie is super well casted and I'm definitely going to give it a chance.

It must be because it is a great book, Wordy at times but well written. Just watched the trailer and I have a feeling it is going to be nothing like the book or the original movie.

i really dont view it as wordy simply because of how well written it is and how the voice that nick delivers carries us through the story.

Gatsby is a great book. Pretty humorous ending. Just wish leo was playing Nick and not Gatsby I feel he fits that part somehow much better.
