What would you price your soul at?

Thought this may be an interesting question to pose. If you believe you have a soul, is it priceless or would you part with it for the right amount of money? Trades? If you dont believe humans have a soul, eg if you're a strict atheist, would you sign a contract and sell it? For what price? Would you be hesitant?

Would I act differently without my "soul?" Would I have to pay back a debt to the devil or something?

If not, hell yeah I'd sell it. I'd be rich as fuck.

If I would turn into some sort of heartless zombie and then have to spend eternity in some sort of "hell," then nah, I can finish up school and earn a proper living by myself.

really depends on what my soul provides for me now, and in the afterlife.

if you're saying selling my soul means an eternity in hell, i wouldn't sell it for anything. eternity is a long time. but if not having a soul really doesn't hurt me at all, it just removes my ability to play the blues, well then fuck yeah i want to make bank, son.

i guess what i'm trying to say is i would sell out if the price is right. but if the price was a lifetime of riches in exchange for an eternity of misery after this life.. fuck that shit.

In reality it all depends on what the contract is. If I do not have a soul then what am I actually losing? what are the term of the contracts? Is a person with no soul also heartless and have no morals?

I have been told I have no morals/heartless/soulless so I guess it wouldn't take much. I would also like to know what a person would like to do with my soul.

So I'd sell it

it could have monetary value. if someone was going to buy your soul and use it as their own and all of a sudden they had the same capabilities as you did (like those things that you "cant teach") that shit could be worth a lot.

passion is worthless if you have no money.

money cant buy happiness but it buys things and things can help make people happy. passion doesn't buy you shit, it just gives you a way to do what you love while making money. why not make money (even if you hate how youre doing it) and love the rest of your life as a result of what you can do with that money?

Since everyone would die instantly if they sold their soul*, mine would be priceless unless I was of old age or had a terminal illness. In that case I would sell it to the highest bidder.

*Soul - Your unique arrangement of synapses in the brain through which neurons are transmitted.

If you are talking about a "soul", I would again sell it to the highest bidder. I'd probably value it around a million dollars and see if anyone takes the bait.

Also, I believe in the future you will be able to download information to your brain. So the price for intelligence will be interesting. A black market will likely develop.

Hee haa, but I'm talking permanent, fluctuating market of intelligence. You sell 15 points of your 125 IQ for £20,000, you are still above the average but may have lost some deeper cognitive skills and realize you want them back the next day. Oops, it's now £70,000 to get it back.

Use intelligence to more intelligence, but for that you'd need more funds, and a quick way to score a golden egg is to shave off some of those brain cells etc.

Okay, we have soul, intelligence... what else would you be willing to sacrifice for an amount of money? An eye? Your vision, hearing? Lose both legs, become millionaire etc. Where to draw the limit of what was mentioned above - wealth, passion and happiness?

Well according to Baruch it wouldn't be possible, it would be like selling yourself into slavery far worse than normal. Cartesian Dualism wouldn't advocate it either since the soul is you as and the body is just the machine you control with it. The Simpsons also showed that it is a bad idea. So if I had proof that it was a made up idea and someone offered me money for it then sure, but right now it's not for sale.
